[Explanation] From creating a note article → NotebookLM → stand.fm → embedding in the article

Introduction

Recently, more people are not just "reading" note articles, but "listening" to them as well.
In this article, I will explain the flow from summarizing with NotebookLM to converting to audio with stand.fm and embedding it in a note as clearly as possible.

🔍 What you will learn in this article |
The audio conversion flow consists of the following 4 steps☝️

Once you build this system, you can convert any article into a "listening note"!
If you turn them into a series using tags or magazines, you can also cultivate a fan base of audio listeners!

《My Method》

① Write and publish a note article (get the URL)

② Generate a summary with NotebookLM (generate from URL), download the audio data

③ Upload and publish the audio on stand.fm (get the URL)

④ Embed the published audio URL into the note (complete)

✍️ Step ①: First, prepare your article!

Prepare the article you want to convert to audio.
I recommend the following structure:
• Around 1,000 to 2,000 characters
• Content that sounds natural when spoken

✅ One-point advice:
When listening to audio, "spoken language" is easier to take in. It is also a good idea to adjust punctuation and line breaks for audio.

🎙 Step ②: Create an audio summary with NotebookLM

Select Add Source in the middle to start ▶ Link ▶ URL, then paste the URL

NotebookLM (official Google tool)to read the article URL or text and create a summary for audio narration.

• Let'stest playthe generated audio.

You can test play it in the orange frame

If it sounds unnatural, deleting the generated data and regenerating it can sometimes change the expression.
• Let'sdownloadthe finished audio data using the green ︙ icon.
• Other notes regarding NotebookLM are posted in my article below.

🎧 Step ③: Record & publish audio on stand.fm

Upload and publish the audio data generated by NotebookLM here

I usestand.fmto embed the player into the note article.
SpotifyandApple Podcastcan also be embedded, but playback within note may not be stable depending on device conditions like smartphones/PCs and various browser situations. By the way, these services also support background playback.

《stand.fm operation procedure》

Select the user icon (orange) in the top right ▶ Start registration from "Post broadcast (green)"
①▶⑨ Complete with the "Post" button!

📝 Step 4: stand.fm ▶︎ Embed audio into a note article

Display sharing options at the orange section
Get the URL at the purple section ▶︎ Embed in note

Just go to the page of the episode you published on stand.fm, get the URL, and embed the URL into your note article, and the audio player will be displayed automatically.

📌 Recommended placement for the player
• Beginning: "You can also enjoy this note with audio"
• Or place a lead-in at the end saying "Click here for the audio summary of this article"

👇 By the way, this is what it looks like when this article is embedded in a series of steps 👇

In terms of AEO, it is ideal to include a summary sentence such as "This article explains XX" right before the audio.

🔗 Other examples of actual embedding in note articles
From "reading" note to "listening" to it—Experience the "listening note" started with NotebookLM
• I also organize them in a magazine as "listening note".

Finally

🗣️ My impressions of actually trying it out | I had new discoveries 💡

What I felt after actually trying to create a "listening note" using NotebookLM and stand.fm is that it achieves both "ease of listening" and "simplicity".

• ✅ NotebookLM's audio summary is surprisingly natural, and the main points of the article are easily understood
• ✅ I'm happy that the recording procedure on stand.fm can be completed simply
• ✅ I realized through PV and engagement rates that there is definitely a need for "listening while doing something else"
• ✅ Even notes that only posted the audio summary had a clear reaction (number of plays & likes)

Many readers can understand the content more easily by listening to it with their ears rather than reading it as text, and it was interesting that it stands on its own as "standalone content" rather than just an auxiliary function.
