Temari Setsugekka's "Color Matching" - Sabi-Asagi - | Handmade | Temari Setsugekka * Small Temari Accessories
Hello. This is Temari Setsugekka.
I create small temari, turn them into accessories, and sell them on two handmade websites.
In this note, I would like to continue talking about the "colors" that decorate my temari. This third installment is about "Sabi-Asagi" (rusted light blue/green).
Sabi-Asagi is one of the traditional Japanese colors. It is a grayish, astringent blue-green. It is a color that evokes a quiet and modest beauty rather than flashiness or splendor. It is said that this "sabi" comes from the "wabi-sabi" concept... which adds to its charm.
To put it in more familiar terms, it is what you might call a "muted green." It is a green that blends well with the skin.
Just like "Tsuyukusa-iro" (dayflower blue) and "Miyako-nezumi" (city mouse gray), it was one of the first colors I picked up after becoming interested in temari. It is a precious color that is my starting point.

It seems to possess the best qualities of both blue and green, giving it a mysterious charm. Why not try wearing it when you want to create a calm, mature, or mysterious impression?
Is there a color you would like to try out right now? Also, what kind of colors do you like?
I would be very happy if you could take a look at my shop. I have a wide variety of items in different colors, patterns, and types. Please find your favorite piece.
This is the Temari Setsugekka shop.
