Let's Try 'Forgiveness' | Gently Forgiving This Whole World [Part 2]
Introduction: 'No longer forgiving just "someone," but forgiving the "event" itself'
So far, we have carefully faced our hearts through:
• "Noticing the unease" (Part 1)
• "Touching the true feelings deep within our emotions" (Part 2).
In this final part, we will take a step deeper and stand from the perspective of "forgiving the world itself." From here on, we will even re-examine the "reasons why these events occurred."
It might seem a little strange, but
this is a stage where immense healing and tranquility arrive.
1. Events might be a "projection of what is inside you"
In our daily lives, we inevitably encounter:
• Unreasonable events
• Hurtful words
• Uncontrollable anxiety
And in many cases, we think:
"This is the other person's fault"
"If only this event hadn't happened"
But in the advanced level of forgiveness, we ask this:
"Could this be a reflection of the 'depths of my heart'?"In other words, this is the perspective that:
• "Fear"
• "Guilt"
• "A sense of lack"
—emotions we were unconsciously holding onto—appeared before us in the "form" of reality.
This is not about "blaming yourself," but rather
"returning the cause that was outside to inner peace"—a very gentle perspective.
2. Letting go of "being right" makes your heart feel light
The first thing many people feel with the forgiveness in this final part is the inner voice saying, "But I'm not wrong." That is natural.
You were right, and it was natural to be hurt.
So, please cherish those feelings entirely.
On top of that, let's gently ask:
"While holding onto being right, what was I trying to protect?"
Behind being right might be a "soft voice" saying:
• "I don't want to be hurt anymore"
• "I was actually lonely"
• "I wanted to be understood"
The moment you notice that,
your heart will begin to feel light.
3. "Gently forgiving" this world itself
Having come this far, you can move from the stage of "forgiving someone" to the perspective of "forgiving even the fact that this world is the way it is."
• A life that doesn't go as planned
• Relationships that can be hurtful
• Persistent anxiety and worries about the future
It is a feeling of quietly letting go of those "things that couldn't be helped," not with "it can't be helped," but with "it's okay as it is."
In that moment,
you have given yourself,
and this world,
a deep level of forgiveness.
4. Practice: "I don't have to fight anymore"
In the forgiveness of this final part,
"changing someone"is not done.
"blaming yourself"is not done either.
Just quietly say this in your heart:
"I don't have to fight for being right anymore"
"I will remember love from this event"
"I am in the light of forgiveness"
By simply chanting these words during a quiet morning or in a deep breath before sleep,
the landscape of your heart will slowly change.
Conclusion: "When the way you see the world changes"
The word "forgive" is often thought to be something you do "for someone else" at first. But in truth,
it is about quietly loving your heart, your life, and everything in this world all over again. That is the starting point of "forgiveness."
Having reached this point,
you have already remembered enough of what is important.
From here on out, too,
let's continue to forgive at your own pace.
The world should start to look a little kinder, little by little.
