The thoughts behind my choice to live in Spain.

Today, I'm changing things up a bit—
instead of my usual talk about "self-care to stay balanced," this time I'd like to write a little about myself.
(I would be happy if you could take a look at this article for my basic profile.)

Family, food, self-care.
And when I thought about "how I want to live from now on"

It all started with a "childhood encounter with a different culture.".

The reason I started thinking, "I want to try living abroad," was when I visited Australia on a family trip while I was still in elementary school.

From the moment I stepped off the plane, I felt a strange sense of excitement at the smells, the expressions on people's faces, and the colors of the city, which were completely different from Japan.
People greeting each other in loud voices...
Students lying on the grass...
Parents and children laughing together as they walked...

That scene felt somehow "relaxed and free," and the memory of feeling as a child, "There are other choices for how to live like this!" still remains deep in my heart.

That experience only grew stronger later when I studied abroad in Canada during my student years.

A life in harmony with nature.
A tolerant atmosphere where differences are accepted.
Diverse values.
The experience of being exposed to these things has become something like the "axis" of my life even now.
Perhaps the reason I am drawn to the country of Spain is an extension of those formative experiences.

A "mysterious connection" to the country of Spain

My strong attraction to Spain is not just simple longing.

In fact, my uncle has been teaching flamenco in Japan for many years, and I have relatives living in Barcelona.
My mother was also influenced by that and studied Spanish for a time, and I myself chose Spanish as a second foreign language when I was a student...
In some way, the country of "Spain" was naturally close to me.

Also, for my child who is learning karate, Spain has a cultural continuity."
It was also a major appeal that I could watch my child grow up in a culture where martial arts are respected, as there are even karate athletes who have won gold medals at the Olympics.

The thoughts behind my choice of Spain

Spain is predicted to become the world's longest-lived country by 2050, and it is said that the background to this includes food culture such as the Mediterranean diet, a warm climate, and a social structure with little fast food and low stress.

Because I work in a field related to health and self-care, I feel that "what kind of society and what kind of environment you live in" is directly linked to the quality of life itself.

Also, over the past few years, as I have witnessed various "regional and social risks" such as earthquakes, climate change, and economic shifts, I have come to feel the importance of
having options to live with peace of mind without relying on just one place.

A form of "Spain x Self-Care"

In the future, while aiming for a dual-base life in Spain and Japan, I would like to apply my expertise in self-care knowledge and practice even in a different culture.

I hope to continue to put into words here on this note the realizations I have in a different culture, and the "sensations" and "voiceless signs" I encounter in the land of Spain.

In closing

Why Spain?
Why am I making this move at this particular time?

I would be happy if you could get a sense of the "background" behind my decision.

In this note, I plan to share my journey toward moving to Spain in real-time, along with my thoughts on self-care, food, senses, and how to align my consciousness.
I hope to share my journey of moving to Spain in a realistic way, along with my ongoing insights on self-care, food, senses, and mindfulness.
