Prologue: Re-born - The Cunning Woman / The 50-Year-Old Promise

I'm reflecting on everything I'm doing now while writing this article,
and it has become much clearer by putting it into words.

Where does the starting point lie?
Everything was packed into this moment in the past.

I was around 50, my wife was in her mid-40s, and although we weren't married yet at the time,
we were both conscious of marriage.
There were various issues, and we couldn't easily move forward.
In the midst of that, when I was suddenly called out and told she was pregnant,

I was surprised that such a thing could happen at our age,
and I think my wife felt the same way.

“I’m pregnant, what should we do??”

From my perspective, it’s much harder for someone to give birth in their mid-40s,
and there were issues with my wife's job and her daughter,
so I felt like, “What are you going to do about it??”

And then,

after a pause,

“I want to have it.”when she said that,

my first words were,
“You’re so cunning.”was what I said.

If you were fully intent on having the baby, say so from the start!!
What was that pause for just now??
It made me think you didn't want to have it.

You knew I would be absolutely overjoyed if you told me you were pregnant,
you really are a cunning woman.

Even as a single-parent household, she was living an independent life in a reasonably blessed environment,
the flow of her life was mostly visible,
and I thought she would make a different choice.

To throw everything away now, give birth to a child at that age,
and have to start life all over again,
that decision is no small feat.

While drinking expensive Starbucks coffee,
“We’re going to start life over together from here on,”we talked about that.

If asked what the happiest moment of my life was,
this scene is the first thing that comes to mind.

However,

That wife has now completely turned into a terrifying wife.
So, I am grateful for the miracle that my son was born.
If I had the terrifying wife and her daughter, and then another daughter was added,
I might have been told by the three women,
“Dad, just be quiet,”and ended up living a miserable life,
sitting quietly in the corner of the living room with my knees pulled up (lol).

Next time, with the determination of a 50-year-old, I will first fully expose my 'current location.' I will strip away the illusion of 3 billion yen in annual sales.
