Nice to meet you
Nice to meet you. I am Sakura.
I am currently the mother of a fourth-grade boy attending SAPIX.
After finishing my eldest daughter's middle school entrance exams in 2025, I am now walking the path again with my second child toward their middle school entrance exams.
My eldest daughter's exam experience was our family's first time going through middle school entrance exams.
I had no mom friends to consult with, and my husband was busy with work, so the exams were almost entirely left to me. I still clearly remember those three lonely years, where I would be swayed by every test result, unable to talk to anyone about my worries or anxieties.
Even when there were other parents from the same cram school, I didn't know how far I could go in asking about grades or target schools. There is a lot of information on social media, but it is hard to find answers that perfectly fit my own situation.
While spending those days feeling my way through the dark, I somehow managed to get through the exams.
And now, the journey with my second child has begun.
Unlike the first time, there is a view I can see from a slightly higher perspective. That is why I decided to start this blog, hoping to connect with families who feel as lonely as I did back then, or with parents who just want someone to listen to them.
In this blog, I would like to write honestly about the daily life of middle school entrance exams, my worries, failures, success stories, and my ongoing exam life with my son.
I would be happy if this could become a place where someone can think, 'I wasn't the only one.'
I am new to this, but I look forward to connecting with you.
