Don't you get tired of watching the news lately? Part 2: A recommendation for an offline life
For tired note users
Tired of the hectic daily news...
If so, this post will help.

Many note users, who seem to love the written word, should be able to relate.
This person's other posts are also very relatable and touch the heart.
Incorporate offline time
Even without it, the daily amount of information is already too much.
When noisy information increases excessively, you get exhausted.
Paperbacks. Kindle devices. Electronic dictionaries.
CD players. Newspapers.
Hammocks. Folding bicycles.
Camping chairs. Portable coffee mills.
I want to incorporate offline devices and goods that allow me to distance myself from smartphones and PCs, just a little bit every day and plenty on the weekends.
First, books.
You could look for a chance encounter at a bookstore.
At the library, you can borrow books for free and read newspapers too.
If you are an Amazon Prime member, you can read bestsellers for free with Prime Reading.
Download e-books to your Kindle device.
Of course, keep the device in offline mode.
The battery life will also improve.
Electronic dictionaries.
You can read over 100 high-quality pieces of content.
You can also add more via an SD card.
I have 17,300 works from Aozora Bunko loaded on mine.
You can also listen to MP3s. At this point, it's basically a mini PC dedicated to offline use.
For those who want to read a bit of everything, the Brain is definitely the best choice.
The screen is just that good.
Used ones might have some yellowing around the screen edges, though.
There is little flickering, so it's easy on the eyes.
If you get a model from 10 years ago, you can find them used for a few thousand yen.
In terms of price, quality, and usability, this is my top recommendation.
This model comes with a digital memo feature.
You can use it as a substitute for a Pomera.
You can write notes on the train or even while lying in bed.
*The text memo function for the Brain is already built into the PW-A9300/A9200/A9100/A9000/A7400/A7300/A7200/A7000/AC920/AC910/AC900 models.
On the other hand, there's the Casio Ex-word.
This model here.
It includes a full year of Radio English Conversation.
If you're studying English conversation, go with this one.
However, Casio models from around 2010 have more screen flickering compared to Sharp's Brain.
If you compare both models using slow-motion video on your smartphone, it's immediately obvious.
Using it primarily for reading will tire out your eyes.
With an electronic dictionary, you can use the jump function to dive endlessly into a sea of words.
Put down your smartphone and go outside.
On your days off, load your folding bike into the car and head out for a trip. This is the mini-velo I bought the other day.
Take a book with you. Take your electronic dictionary.
It's great to get lost in a book at your favorite park.
It's also great to explore a five-kilometer radius of an unfamiliar place on your mini-velo.
I've always dreamed of using a hammock in a spacious park.
This one comes with a mosquito net. I use it at home.
By the way, I use this at home.
My favorite spot with good sunlight.
The frame can also be used for other hammocks.
Summary
And so on.
Q.
What is the secret to not losing heart amidst the unsettling world situation?
A.
I think there might be a hint in how you spend time with offline items.
As mentioned in the opening post, you can enjoy yourself as much as you want without spending money.
I want to incorporate a moderate amount of offline time every day.
Bonus.
Here is my previous note as well. Please check it out.
The all-time No. 1 tough CD player.
God-tier albums from before 2000 can be obtained for practically free.
Back to basics, precisely because it's now.
Let's listen to Bach.
Let's start a band!
I want to strum the guitar again.
You'll definitely want to play guitar after watching this.
Bocchi-chan's god-like guitar playing is a must-see.
I recently bought a Nikon D70; this one was made in 2004.
It still works perfectly after more than 20 years. It speaks for its own quality.
