What is a Judgment Fable | On stories that do not provide answers
[Introduction]
I use the term "Judgment Fable," but
this is not a definition of a genre.
It does not determine how to read the stories.
It is simply
the closest term I have
to describe this collection of stories.
There is no correct way to read them.
I am only placing markers so that you do not get lost.

[What is a Judgment Fable]
A Judgment Fable is
not a story that provides an answer.
After reading it,
your own judgment feels a little heavier.
It is that kind of short story.
In it, for example—
・A choice not to win
・A decision to stand still
・An act of protecting by abandoning
may be depicted.
However,
this is not a story meant to call those things "correct."
It is a story that simply places the idea that
"such judgments also exist in this world."
This term is something
I named myself
after writing the stories.

[Why I write these stories]
The real world
is not made up only of victories and successes.
Things not chosen.
Judgments to stop.
Decisions known to no one.
Society and life are shaped
by the accumulation of such things.
Judgment Fables are
short stories that capture only those "quiet judgments."

[Relationship with the story world "Eve"]
Judgment Fables are
like records that exist outside the story world of "Eve."
Eve is a world after the heroes have left.
Neither great victories nor perfect justice remain.
What remains
is only the traces of the judgments someone made on the spot.

[Finally]
A Judgment Fable
is not a story that teaches you anything.
It simply
leaves behind, just a little,
the question of
"What would I do if it were me?"
If it would break because of righteousness,
then it is not right.
I write these stories
only to ensure they do not stray
from that.
At the very least,
that is what I hope.
……Perhaps,
this world, too.

If the story
remained somewhere in your day.
I would be happy if you
pressed the like button as a bookmark.

If you feel
that this atmosphere suits you,
if you follow me,
the next story will reach you as well.
