World Cup. Beware of rising blood pressure
The cause of the symptoms currently troubling me
is "cerebrospinal fluid hypovolemia."
I am being hospitalized starting today for treatment.

I had a bit of pain during the last procedure,
and for the past week, I've been feeling foggy...
While trying to escape reality, the World Cup is in full swing.
I want to watch the matches even in the hospital.
I eagerly resubscribed to DAZN and got
thoroughly caught up in the commotion.
Since I want to watch the World Cup on TV,
by the time I packed cables and various other things,
it looked exactly like I was preparing for a trip.
During the pre-procedure questions...
When I asked,
"Will it feel the same as last time?"
the doctor replied,"It might be a little more painful than last time."
And with that, the doctor smiled and walked away.
(......)
Doctor, I told you I have a low pain threshold, didn't I?
Hey, Doctor...
This hospitalization.
The goal is to plug the hole because cerebrospinal fluid is leaking.
The treatment itself is a "blood patch,"
where they draw my own blood
and inject it into my spinal cord.
The blood acts like a scaband plugs the hole.
Please. I hope this cures it.
The pain of the needle insertion lasts only a few seconds.
Moving by wheelchair.
Here we go! Lying face down on the table.
The anesthesia is done.
All that's left is... inserting the needle into my back again.
(...When is it coming?)
(Not yet? Is it still not time?)
"Starting now."
Even though the doctor said that,
the needle didn't come.
(Please! Just get it over with!)
I brace myself for the needle.
(Huh? Is something already in there?)
"All done."
(Wait, what about the needle?)
"Oh, um, is it already over?"
It finished while I was still nervous.
(That didn't hurt this time!)
After it was over, it was time for 30 minutes of lying face down.
I watched the World Cup, the Brazil 🇧🇷 match, out of the corner of my eye.
<<Whistle!>>
The match ended with a cheer.
________________Knock knock
"Excuse me, I'm going to take your blood pressure."
The nurse came in.
She attached the blood pressure monitor to my body.
"Oh, wait. Let me measure it again."
"That's strange."
The nurse measured it again.
"Your blood pressure is quite high."
Oh no!
I was watching soccer until just a moment ago.
Even though it wasn't a Japan match,
perhaps it's because I was really enjoying it...
“Um... it might be because
you were watching soccer just now.”
The nurse said this when she came to measure my blood pressure next.
“Your blood pressure might go up even more
during tomorrow's blood pressure check.”
(Indeed...)
The procedure is finished, so
all that's left is to rest and monitor the situation.
I'm not sure if I'll be able to stay calm
while watching soccer, though...
