《Recruitment Closed》【Creative Awards 2025 Support Project】Let me read your note! ③ (Note Reading Project June Issue)
Hello, I'm Arlon, the (self-proclaimed) (unofficial) (unauthorized) Creative Awards Ambassador. I will keep saying this until I am officially recognized by note (or until I am stopped).
The highly successful Creative Awards 2025 has just over a month left in its submission period. That was fast!
This note reading project will be held as a 'Creative Awards Support Project' for two more times, including this one and the next.
This time, I would like to write about my thoughts on the note reading project again. Since this section alone is over 2,000 characters, if you don't have the time to read it, please jump from the table of contents at

to the section.
The reason for doing note reading
There are various reasons, such as for study or to build a reading habit, but this is the main one.
'Because I am a note creator'
That's a bit hard to understand, so let me break it down a little more.
'Because I want people to read my work'
I want people to read my work. But I can't say that out loud. Because the act of reading text consumes your time and energy. I don't have enough confidence in my work to make you read it at the expense of your precious time and energy.
Even so, I want it to be read. Since I went to the trouble of writing it and releasing it into the internet ocean of note (or Tales), there's no way I don't want it to be read. That's why I try to write easy-to-read text, I'm particular about things like titles and openings that make people want to pick it up, and I share it on social media. I don't have confidence, but I do have the pride that I wrote something good.
But you know, I don't think it's a given that people will read it. I think it's like a miracle that people read the work of an amateur like me. Especially in this day and age, since videos and music are overwhelmingly more popular than text (or so I think). Honestly, even for me, watching videos is easier than reading books. That's probably why I take the initiative to do note reading.
Also, I've seen many works that make me think, 'Why are there so few likes and followers when this is so interesting?!' Perhaps I've been doing note reading and introducing note creators because I want to dig up such buried talent (sorry if that sounds arrogant).
I, too, always think, 'I want someone to dig me up,' and 'I want to be recognized by many people.' I think about it every day, every hour, every minute, every second. I am a bundle of desire for approval.
While I feel that way, it makes me incredibly happy when someone writes their impressions of my work!
Since I am also a note creator, I understand that feeling very well. If so, I thought I would at least 'do unto others what I would have them do unto me' for fellow note creators who feel the same way.
So, let's talk about the Creative Awards.
My goal for this year is to win a Media Award at the Creative Awards. This has been my sole focus since last October. I won't waver.
Among the many open contests out there, why am I so fixated on the Creative Awards? It's because I feel that
they judge works based on absolute evaluation (though I don't know how other contests do it).
I feel that they look purely at the interest and potential of a work, rather than criteria like 'this person is a best-selling author' or 'this work has a lot of likes.' The ease of entry, which just requires adding a tag, is also a unique advantage.
I love that atmosphere of the Creative Awards. That's why I want to enjoy it and help build the excitement. As an expression of that feeling, I'm running this note-reading project under the banner of a 'Creative Awards Support Project.'
In last year's Creative Awards, perhaps because that activity was recognized, I received the Best Reviewer Award. I was very honored and incredibly happy.
However, personally, I think of the Best Reviewer Award as a letter of appreciation (I've said this on X Spaces and various other places). A letter of appreciation is like the one a convenience store clerk receives from the police after preventing a scam by noticing an elderly person trying to buy tens of thousands of yen worth of iTunes cards and thinking, 'Is this a wire fraud scam...?'
I don't think that's something you go out to get because you want it. There isn't a 'clerk who dotes on elderly people because they want a letter of appreciation' (though maybe there is one if you look hard enough). Above all, I am a writer before I am a reader, so that's not really what I want. So, while I'm happy to receive an award, I don't make winning the Best Reviewer Award my goal (just to be clear, I am not at all denying those who aim for the Best Reviewer Award. This is just a matter of personal belief).
Of course, it's not that I don't think, 'If I'm lucky, maybe I'll get the Best Reviewer Award...' As was the case last year, there is naturally a part of me that works hard precisely because there is an award set up.
But it is true that the pure feeling of 'I want to build excitement for the Creative Awards' is stronger than that. If it weren't, I wouldn't have taken it upon myself to call myself an 'ambassador'.
There is also a reason why 'follow Arlon' is included in the application requirements. It's to make it easier for people to notice they've been introduced since Tales works don't send notifications, to help people learn about other works that have been introduced, and furthermore, I would be happy if it leads to interaction between the people who have been introduced (this is a gift for you who have read this far). It's not that I don't have a desire to gain followers for Arlon, but since it's not rare for people to unfollow after the project, I'm not fixated on that (I have a tenacious personality, so I've checked all those people).
Still, I am full of gratitude for those who continue to follow and interact with me. I want to cherish these connections. And I believe that the Creative Awards have the potential to forge connections between note creators.
That is why I am doing this note-reading project.
Well, I've talked at length, but I hope it has conveyed at least a little bit that I am doing this note project with my own beliefs.
Whether it gets across or not, I will keep doing the note reading.
So, I'll be doing it this month too!
No, please let me do it!
Let me read your note!

I will read your note work (limited to entries for the Creative Awards 2025) and write my impressions in an article.
I will write positive impressions.
I hope this will hopefully lead to interactions between note creators.
* I sometimes receive comments saying, '(I really want you to read it, but) it seems like a lot of work, so I'll refrain.' I truly appreciate the sentiment, but I am doing this for my own self-improvement knowing it is a lot of work, so please feel free to apply without hesitation!

【How to Apply】
In the comment section of this article, state that you would like to apply and include the link to the relevant work.
* When applying, please read the 【Notes】 below carefully.
* Links to Tales are also OK! In that case, it would be helpful if you could include the link to the work's overview page (the page where hashtags can be confirmed).
[Application Deadline]
Sunday, June 22, 2025, 23:59 (Strictly enforced)
*We plan to hold a similar project in July. If you missed this deadline, please feel free to apply during the next recruitment period.
[Notes]
I have written various things, but this is strictly to prevent trouble.
Please don't overthink it and feel free to apply!
Please limit it to one work per person (for sequels, etc., please apply during the next recruitment period).
Any genre is welcome. Essays, novels, anything is fine (I'm not great with horror, but I'll do my best to read it...!).
There is no word count limit, but please keep it within reasonable bounds.
If your work is divided into multiple articles, I will write my impressions based on the first article (or first chapter).
Those who have participated in past note reading projects are also very welcome. However, please refrain from submitting works for which I have already written impressions.
Paid articles are not eligible.
The timing for posting impression articles will be decided at my convenience.
I anticipate writing impression articles by grouping multiple impressions together (basically, I plan to introduce 3 works in one impression article).
I will not provide advice such as "you should do this more," or rather, I cannot, so please understand. For that kind of thing, please pay a professional.
I will not reply to comments individually. I will consider your application complete once I have 'liked' your comment.
If I determine that a work does not comply with the Creative Awards 2025 application guidelines, I will not be able to process it even if you apply (I will not 'like' the comment).
If you do not follow the application rules, I will not inform you of that fact. If you do not receive a 'like' on your comment for a long time, please check the application method again (if there is no problem but you still haven't received one, I would appreciate it if you could contact me).
I cannot guarantee a follow-back.
Questions will be accepted in the comments section of this article, via the note inquiry feature, or via X DM.
If any special notes arise, I will add them to this article and inform you via note.
I will not be held responsible for any trouble caused by this project.
If I determine that the rules of this project or public order and morals have been violated, I will take appropriate measures, such as deleting comments.
