Meetings, Partings, and Meetings Again. Creative Awards 2025 Support Project Part 1 (Nos. 7-9) [note Reading Project April Issue]
Hello everyone.
note Reading Project Review time.
For this monthly project, the April through July issues will feature reviews of works submitted to the Creative Awards 2025 (for works consisting of multiple articles, this will be a spoiler-free review based on reading only the first article).
This time, I will introduce three articles!
7. Goodbye Ring Finger. / Yuzu
A story that begins with the independence of women. While the setting is highly realistic, it is crafted in a way that makes you curious about what happens next. I wonder what the men's secrets are. The title is also brilliant, evoking the idea of divorce without using the keyword "divorce" itself.
8. Parallel Disability / Tzue | Reconnection.
Although this is an entry for the essay category, it has a mysterious story that feels like an erotic novel. Each sentence is poetic, giving the whole piece a mysterious finish. Expressing an essay from two perspectives is novel. Since this is an adult-oriented work, please enjoy it if you are an adult.
9. Kagurazaka, the Skirt is Crimson / Hikari Ogawa
The serious opening is strangely realistic and has a sense of presence. It is a thoughtful design to have a warning note at the beginning regarding this point.
The protagonist's act of "searching for station names that attract them" somehow foreshadows a fateful encounter, effectively building excitement.
Thank you for reading until the end!
Look forward to the next one!
