Lessons Learned from Failure at an Entrepreneurship School: Check the People Around Your Mentor Too!
When aiming to start a business, everyone worries about choosing a mentor, right?
It is only natural to want to learn and grow under a mentor you can trust.
When I joined an entrepreneurship school, I too was encouraged by my mentor's words and support, and I decided to work hard toward my dream.
But... the pitfall was in the people around them.
However, I hit an unexpected wall at that entrepreneurship school.
In fact, it was the certified instructors around the mentor that caused me to stop taking action.🌀
Even when I submitted my daily reports, I only received superficial comments that could have been said to anyone, and
honestly, I didn't feel they had any value as support.
What was even more surprising was
the fact that those certified instructors were not only badmouthing me, but also badmouthing the mentor themselves.😱
Caught up in that atmosphere, I continued to take action, but my heart was no longer in it.
The important thing I realized from that experience
Through this experience, I felt strongly that
it is truly important to consider not just the quality of the mentor, but also the environment of the people around them.
No matter how good a mentor you have, if there are untrustworthy people among the surrounding staff or instructors, that environment itself will hinder your growth and actions.
Therefore, when choosing an entrepreneurship school or community,
I recommend that you carefully check not only the mentor but also the certified instructors and the people around them.
Finding a place where you can learn with peace of mind and move forward is the shortcut to success.

A mentor is important.
But check the staff and instructors around them too.
A trustworthy environment supports your growth.
