[Three-Topic Dialogue] Look, It's Glowing | Universe. Soup. Mosquito Repellent | Short-Short
Title: Night of the Star-Falling Soup
There was a hint of rain in the air.
It hadn't started falling yet.
But the wind was slightly damp,
and the sky was quietly dark.
In the garden,mosquito repellentcoils were
sending up thin wisps of smoke.
"I wonder if it will rain soon."
As I looked up at the sky,
you, who were stirring thesoupbeside me, laughed.
Inside the pot,
the night-colored soup was swaying slowly.
In this world,
the universeis not just above in the sky.
When it gets late at night,
it sometimes seeps out onto the ground.
The surface of soup.
Puddles.
Glass windows.
In dark, quiet places,
grains of stars mingle.
"Look, it's glowing"
you said in a small voice.
Inside the pot.
On the surface of the black soup,
tiny lights were floating.
One.
And another.
As if,
the night sky had been melted just as it was.
I caught my breath.
"It's the universe."
I muttered unintentionally.
You laughed while swirling the wooden spoon.
"Maybe today is a lucky day."
It is said that when you eat glowing soup,
your true feelings spill out just a little.
Things that make you happy.
Things that make you lonely.
Feelings you couldn't tell anyone.
The stars illuminate what you have been hiding.
The scent of rain grew stronger.
Thunder rumbled in the distance.
But, strangely, I wasn't afraid.
Beyond the steam,
a small universe was swaying.
We drank the soup in silence.
I felt as if the words that had been sinking deep in my chest
were rising to the surface, glowing little by little.
