The urgent task before and after an event is self-maintenance 《Self-care diary for 12/3-12/9》

Around this point,
how about a break☕?

Hello. This is RaM.

Today is our regular Wednesday
time for a realistic daily snapshot diary.

I have taken the liberty of
setting a constraint of expressing each day in 3 sentences.

It has been quite a while since I started this diary,
and reflecting for 10 minutes every day has become a habit.

If you would like,
please take a peek
at RaM's daily life😊

12/3 (Wed) Where am I heading...?

Today, I went to lunch with a senior colleague in the same industry and had various realizations.

I realized that my main job is only for making a living, and it is becoming increasingly clear that I no longer expect growth from it, which left me with a strange mix of sadness and relief.

However, in any case, the fact that I must simply continue moving forward remains unchanged.

12/4 (Thu) Fear is a step toward growth.

Even while working, my mind is on the event this weekend.

While I have positive thoughts that it will go well, I also feel anxious about whether I will be able to get to the venue properly.

Feeling scared is proof that I am heading toward growth, and it is a necessary emotion.

12/5 (Fri) Respect your own "I want to do this!"

I was busy moving around since the morning, but today was a day I spent for my own future.

I spent some time alone that led to the first step toward something positive for myself, thinking things like, "It would be fun if I could go here..." or "I would be happy if I could meet this person..."

My husband seemed to be working overtime again today, and even though I made dinner before leaving, I felt guilty, so I will be extra kind to him when I get home.

12/6 (Sat) The silence after a major event

Something that has been on my mind for the past month has come to a close today.

I enjoyed it from the bottom of my heart, I felt relieved, and while I also felt like saying "good job to myself," when I look back on it honestly, I think my daily life was quite on the edge.

As if to tell that story, my skin is breaking out worse than it ever has in my life, and since I don't know what to do about it, I will properly rest tomorrow.

12/7 (Sun) Maintenance is an urgent task!

In stark contrast to my active day yesterday, I focused only on the bare minimum of daily life.

I have been working hard on my skincare for the past few months, but my skin is in such a terrible state—likely from a reaction to makeup—that I feel depressed every time I look in the mirror and have lost all motivation to do anything.

Since I happened to have tomorrow off, I will try to book a doctor's appointment first thing in the morning.

12/8 (Mon) The mind and body cannot lie

After a major event, a makeup reaction, and the arrival of my period.

This might be a message from my body telling me to force a pause.

I will treat this period of feeling unwell as a time to store up energy and spend it slowly and gently.

12/9 (Tue) Gradually returning to normal operation mode

Coming back to work after the event, my body and mind just can't keep up, and I feel sleepy the whole time.

I believe this sleepiness is largely due to the earthquake that occurred last night, but I can't let that stop me.

To welcome this weekend with a calm mind, today I simply made a conscious effort to slow down my walking speed instead of leaning too far forward.

It seems I was in the mood for short diary entries over these past seven days.
Perhaps I didn't have much breathing room. (lol)

After the event, although there were some changes in my physical condition, I feel like I might have hit the emergency brakes a bit too hard.

I wish I could have come to a stop more gently...

For now, I intend to go about my daily life without abandoning the stance that "I will do what needs to be done, but I also need rest!"

Thank you for taking a peek into
RaM's daily life💐

I hope the next seven days starting tomorrow
will be at least a little bit peaceful...
