Is it possible and necessary to advance and systematize decision-making even outside the finance and accounting domain?
I mentioned FP&A, which evolves the so-called finance/accounting and corporate strategy departments, as an example of people and organizations that realize Decision Intelligence, but this is from an investigation into whether there are others.
xP&A (Extended Planning and Analysis)
I understood this as a further development from FP&A, which is an extension of finance, where while financial figures remain central, it incorporates more SCM and operational figures and plans to support business decision-making.
HRBP (Human Resources Business Partner)
Is HRBP an evolution of the HR department? I wonder if it refers to an offensive mission as a business partner that constructs HR strategies based on business strategies, separate from the defensive organization that handles so-called HR department operations.
In many mid-to-large enterprises, HR departments have implemented talent management systems to manage HR data, and some have initiatives for data utilization like People Analytics. At the cutting edge, Google has data scientists making up one-third of its staff, so if they work closer to business strategy, it seems they would naturally evolve even without using the term Decision Intelligence.
CoE (Center of Excellence)
It seems it was originally a term for strategic HR, just like HRBP, but I remember hearing that name as a designation for a department promoting DX.
What is a CoE (Center of Excellence)? Explaining the meaning and implementation examples
The purpose of establishment seems to be the collection and organization of knowledge, the planning and promotion of projects that contribute to the business, and the promotion of internal innovation.
