I started playing with haiku, tanka, senryu, and dodoitsu at the "Minna no Haiku Taikai" (Everyone's Haiku Tournament).
I became able to compose them thanks to a project called "A Verse from a Song," where you create a verse from a song.
It was easy to compose when I had something to base it on.
The "Minna no Haiku Taikai," which was held seasonally, is currently frozen, but as an unauthorized project,

Since I have no artistic talent, my niece Kopu specially created a drawing and a haiku for me 🙆‍♀️
