To all fans of participatory events.
It's been a while since our last PJ event!
For those of you who love "novels and short-shorts."
For those of you who prefer "essays and reportage."
For you "music" fanatics.
For you who are hooked on "AI."
For you who enjoy "haiku, tanka, and senryu."
For you who love "fantasizing."
And for you who love "socializing."
An event that will satisfy all of you...
🏙️ "Imaginary Place Name Festival"
— Let's create a "town" that doesn't exist yet, together.
is being held!
・The period is scheduled for June 20th to July 10th.
Since it's been a while, I'd like to keep things relaxed and easygoing, so please feel free to join in and go easy on me m(__)m
🎯 What kind of event is it?
In this event, you can depict a "town that doesn't exist in this world yet" using words, pictures, sounds, stories, fantasies, or
any form of expression you like.your favorite form of expressioncan be used.
This is not a contest, but a "play" event aimed at interaction.
Anyone is free to participate!
Newcomers and note beginners are WELCOME.
Of course, I ask all my long-time friends to participate as well m(__)m
Just giving it a name is fine
Short essays or poems are also fine
Fictional maps, illustrations, reportage-style articles, and musical works are also very welcome
Fictional laws, customs, radio programs, tourist attractions, etc. — any genre or format is free!
🟡 Using AI is also OK!
Image generation, music production, or maps are all fine.
※If you use AI, please let us know m(__)m
Sharing how you used it or what software you used to help boost everyone's "AI skills" is also great!
The purpose, or rather the real thrill, of this event is forsomeone else to further nurture or expand upon a "town" created by someone else.
For example, someone you don't know might introduce a new character, cause an incident, draw an illustration, or write a poem about the town you created.
🧩 How to participate (it's easy!)
There aretwo ways to participatein the Imaginary Place Name Festival.
In either case, pleaseadd the "#ImaginaryPlaceNameFestival" tag,,link to "this article",and post it on note.
🚏 Pattern 1: Participate in someone else's "town" (add a work as a traveler) ※Recommended first step!
-
Inspired by an "imaginary town" already posted by someone else, please create a work related to that town.
-
For example:
A story from the perspective of a resident of that town
A poster for a shop in town or a radio program-style text
A poem by a traveler from another place
Expanding the map, or describing the scenery in a different season, etc.
-
🔗 Participation Requirements: Please be sure to include a link to the original "town" post in your text.
Let's make the connections visible and expand the circle of works.
As an example, I have created the first town, "Star Snow Town"!
I hope you will visit as a traveler and get a feel for what it's like!
🏙️ Pattern 2: Create your own "town" (You become the mayor)
⚠️ This pattern can only be chosen by "those who have participated in another town at least once."
By thinking of a fictional place name and posting it, you become the "Mayor" of that town!
Even a light setting is OK. Text, poetry, maps, images, music... anything is free.
📝 To become a mayor
First, please participate in someone's town as a "traveler" and experience that world.
I would be happy if you could launch your own town after experiencing other people's worldviews.
🌟 A request from the mayor (= participation requirements)
Please try to comment on the works of people who have participated in your town as much as possible, or introduce their links within your article.
Let's return the feeling of "thank you for coming" with words.
In either method, the genre, writing style, length, and form of expression are completely free.
Your imagination will expand a "town" that does not yet exist in this world.
