The Story of Turning My 'Am I the Only One Who Likes This?' Fave into a Figure - A Record of Being Totally Obsessed with Cap-Fuchi-chan -
"Maybe I'm the only one who thinks this is cute..."
Have you ever felt that way?
You get captivated by someone's work or a character and think, "This is great," but when you look around, there are more popular things, and you somehow find it hard to speak up about it.
This story began with exactly that kind of feeling.
■ The catalyst was Kinokoro-san's article
The encounter was through Kinokoro-san's article. Inspired by the character that appeared there, I created a certain manga.
That is
Carp Fuchiko-chan
, or Cap-Fuchi-chan for short.

I had made it a few times before, but this was the first time I received so many comments saying
"Cute!"
Honestly, I was quite happy.
■ The wall of popular characters and a slight sense of unease
Kinokoro-san's work features many charming characters.
Fuchikoro-chan
Ceramy-chan
Nanno-chan
Chuny-chan (especially popular lately!)
Looking at the comment section, each one has passionate fans, and the excitement is amazing.
In the midst of that, I suddenly felt—
"Am I the only one who thinks Cap-Fuchi-chan is cute...?"
That unique feeling.
■ But, I Was Able to Think She Was Cute After All
Amidst all that, the voices saying “Cute” I received were truly significant.
“She really is cute after all.”
“My instincts weren't wrong.”
The moment I felt that, my feelings swung completely in that direction.
I'm going to support her with everything I've got.
That's what I decided.
■ The Challenge of Making a Figure
And what I did next.
That was—
making a figure of Kapufuchi-chan.
Of course, this is fan art created with permission from the original creator, Kinokoro-san. Please view this as an homage piece that respects
Kinokoro-san.
1. Normal Version
First, simply, the normal version.

Even just that is already cute.
I almost felt satisfied at this point.
2. Kapufuchi-chan Awakening in a Dress
The next thing I tried was a dress outfit.

However, I felt something was a bit lacking in the design generated by ChatGPT.
That's when I remembered—
The illustration that Miki Saburo-san made for me before.

As expected of a refined beauty, their sense of fashion is wonderful too.
I'll link that article here as well.
When I used this as a base...
the cuteness exploded all at once.

Moreover,
the legs look longer
the silhouette is more balanced
Mametanuki is also made into a figure
It's all good things.
I couldn't help but let out a "Wow".
3. Since it's Carp, I want them to bat.
My greed grew even more here.
"What would happen if I put them in a batting pose?"
The result of trying it—

Mametanuki's belly is abnormally huge
the eye balance is ruined
It was quite chaotic.
Although I tried to fix it, this time
the problem of the feet slipping off the cup occurred.

Creation always involves this kind of trial and error, doesn't it?
4. Final Form
After many adjustments, this is the form I finally settled on.

It might not be perfect, but it turned out in a way that makes me think
this is the best for now.
■ Giving Shape to 'Like'
What I felt anew this time is that
'like' expands the moment you put it out into the world.
Even for something I initially thought might just be me,
someone empathizes with it
the next creation is born from there
and the 'like' deepens even further
Such a cycle happens naturally.
■ Conclusion
This fan art project started out of respect for Kinokoro-san.
Through Capfuchi-chan, I was able to feel that
it's okay to trust what I like.
I would be happy if you enjoyed it even a little. If you'd like, please let me know in the comments which Capfuchi-chan you thought was cute.
■ Postscript: On the day of Kinokoro-san's 1st anniversary on Note, the Carp did not lose
And on this day, which marks Kinokoro-san's 1st anniversary on Note, the Carp had a 2-2 draw with Hanshin. They caught up in the 9th inning with a pinch-hit
game-tying hit by Montero and went into extra innings. It's a shame they couldn't win, but it was good that they hung in there at the last minute and didn't lose. In terms of Capfuchi-chan, today is a
'they hung in there well' day. Kinokoro-san, congratulations on your 1st anniversary.
