Life needs a landing
In the previous article,
the important time before sprouting
I talked about this theme.
Even if you don't see results,
there may be something growing out of sight.
That was the story.
However,
continuing to look forward all the time,
is not an easy thing to do.
There are days when you get tired.
There are days when you want to stop.
There are days when you feel like nothing you do goes well.
Then we,
sometimes feel like "I'm not moving forward."
But is that really the case?
For example, when running a long marathon, you sometimes stop at a water station.
You catch your breath, hydrate, and start running again. You wouldn't call that time a setback.
And, thinking as an architect, stairs are the same. According to the Building Standards Act, stairs that exceed a certain height must have a landing in the middle.
Instead of climbing forever, there is a place to take a breath along the way. That is necessary to climb safely and surely.
Perhaps life is a little similar.
Constantly pushing yourself
is not the only way to move forward.
Resting.
Thinking.
Pausing.
These, too,
are important times for taking the next step.
I myself,
have not always had smooth sailing.
There were times when I didn't get the results I wanted,
and days when I lacked motivation.
At such times,
instead of forcing myself to move forward,
I have made it a point to stop for a moment,
and focus on centering myself.
And looking back,
I believe it was because I had that time,
that I was able to start walking again.
So if you feel like you are,
standing still right now,
There is no need to rush.
Perhaps this is a time for you to prepare for what comes next.
It may be that you are currently climbing an incredibly steep staircase and are simply resting on a slightly wider landing.
Stopping for a moment
is not a step backward.
It is a valuable time
to move toward the future.
Thank you for reading until the end this time as well.

Also, the content I share in this note
is connected to the ideas I hold dear in my book, 'Success Thinking'.
In the midst of your daily challenges,
I would be happy if you could remember this when you need to pause for a while.
