Building the SSSP Base [Episode 39] The Octagonal Building is Nearly Complete

[Finally Made the Warning Lights Blink]

Over the past two installments, I have examined the evolution of the warning lights on the octagonal building. I might feel like an expert on SSSP base lighting now, but this is no time to be resting on my laurels.
Let's get on with the essential work.

As I have explained before, I am aiming for the setting of the model to be around the time of the Wu episode (Episode 30), but the Neronga episode (Episode 3) is useful as a reference for creating the warning lights.
In this episode, there is a rare scene where all the team members board the Jet Beetle (Hoshino is also secretly on board) to sortie, and the launch deck is zoomed in on, showing the warning lights clearly.

Let's use this scene as a reference to build the warning lights.
I decided to use a 0.8mm diameter brass pipe for the warning light pole.
It seems easy enough to make the lights by thinly slicing 3mm diameter plastic pipes, arranging them in three rows on the upper part of the pole and two rows on the lower part, and installing a red LED in each.
However, the EK Japan 'Elekit Battery Box for Lighting LEDs in Various Patterns' that I prepared for the blinking LEDs only has 6 connectors. Since I am already using 4 for the warning light on the elevator, only 2 are left.
So, I decided to install one in the upper section and one in the lower section to make the 5 lamps blink.

For now, it turned out like this.

I made the warning lights by combining brass pipes, plastic plates, and 2 LEDs. I tried reproducing the blinking with a GIF animation.

All that's left is to fit three lights in the upper section and two in the lower section and make them glow appropriately.
How should I do it?
I worried about it for a bit, but I thinly sliced a 3mm diameter plastic pipe, dripped Cemedine UV-resistant transparent adhesive inside, and after it dried, I filed it down to make it look like frosted glass (actually, I mistook the UV-resistant transparent adhesive for UV resin, but well, the result is fine).

It's a bit hard to tell what it is, but I will cut them into rectangles to make 3-light and 2-light units.

With this, the octagonal building is nearly complete.
There are still many things to work on, but for now, the warning lights and the alert lights are blinking in sync.

The nearly complete octagonal building. I tried making it blink in a GIF animation.

By the way, this is the 39th installment of the series. This '39' is a number with quite a lot of weight for Ultraman fans.
Yes. Episode 39 is the final episode, where Ultraman is defeated by Zetton and leaves Earth.
I intended to end this series around 39 installments to match that, but due to a series of struggles, I am still only halfway there. That said, I have been building it for 10 months now.
Naturally, I have started to want to build other models as well. Of course, I will continue to work on the base and continue this series, but I would like to work on other models in parallel. While my motivation is high.

So, what I am thinking of building next is a galley. Electric, of course.
