Going out to AEON with my 4-month-old daughter between cluster headache attacks | Cluster Headache Diary #18
My daughter turned 4 months old today, and
opportunities for going out have increased.
Going out with a baby means a lot of luggage, and
when you combine unfamiliar parenting with health anxiety,
even a short trip can make you nervous, right?
I, too, am filled with anxiety about what might happen every time I go out with my daughter while dealing with cluster headaches.
This time, I will share my real experience of going out with my daughter to AEON.
The situation the moment an attack occurred
Preparation points from a dad's perspective
What I learned from the differences between each outing destination
Knowing this will significantly lower the hurdle for going out.
The reality when an attack occurs
We went to McDonald's for lunch.
A mild attack occurred while I was eating a Big Mac set for the first time in a while.
My temples were throbbing, but
I didn't use my nasal spray,
and managed to hold on by sitting down and taking deep breaths.
There were mild attacks afterward as well, but
while pushing my daughter in the stroller,
I managed to endure them.
I realize that going out with a 4-month-old daughter
depends entirely on preparation and family cooperation.
Since AEON has many nursing rooms,
I think it's good practice for going out.
💡Points
AEON has more benches than department stores, which is great because you can sit down immediately during an attack
There are many nursing rooms and rest spots, making it perfect for practicing going out
Things that were helpful from a dad's perspective
Preparing luggage and attack supplies in advance is essential
You can go out with peace of mind if you have family cooperation
Knowing the facility's environment (benches, nursing rooms, etc.) helps you stay calm during an attack
Moving forward, to make going out even more comfortable,
I want to improve my routes and what I bring with me.
To all the moms and dads out there raising children while dealing with headaches, what are your tips or go-to items for going out?
