Course Guide: Kakogawa Matsukaze Road Race 20k/10k Tournament (Updated 2026.5.20)

We will utilize a 5km round-trip course that starts at the 40.5km mark of the Kakogawa Minamo Road, an official marathon course located on the Kakogawa Riverbed in Kakogawa City, Hyogo Prefecture, descends to the 42.0km mark to turn around, and then ascends to turn around again at the 39.5km mark.

* The Kakogawa Matsukaze Road Race 20k/10k Tournament is scheduled to be held on Sunday, October 18, 2026, and is currently under preparation.

This time, the conventional course cannot be used due to bridge construction at the 39.5km mark (near the 2.7km point) (the Kakogawa Marathon is also canceled this year), and after various considerations, this course has been selected.

The 20km race consists of 4 laps, and the 10km race consists of 2 laps to the finish. The family division course involves a turnaround 1km from the starting point.

Minamo Road 42.0km mark. Near the Disaster Prevention Center, just before the start/finish point of the Minamo Road.

Minamo Road 41.5km mark. Family turnaround point, same as the 1km mark.

3km

Minamo Road 40.5km mark. Same location as the start/finish. Before the JR overpass.

4km

Minamo Road 39.5km point. Turn around before the construction area.

5km

Minamo Road 40.5km point. Same as the start/finish line. This completes one lap.

Planned location for headquarters tents, etc.

A gate is planned to be set up near the start/finish line. Also, the green space in the image used for the cover of this note is the planned headquarters location, and the road ahead is the starting position.
