#MakingResinWithKids #EncapsulatingLavender
My first-grade daughter said she wanted to do resin for the first time in a few weeks, so we decided to do some resin crafting.
Around February of this year, a child at my daughter's kindergarten brought in a Precure item made of resin (likely using the plastic from a Precure gummy package), and since my daughter wanted to try it too, we started by picking up some resin supplies from a 100-yen shop.
It turned out to be quite interesting and deep, and since both my daughter and I felt like we would do more, we've been playing with it occasionally while buying some better materials on Amazon. If anything, I'm even more enthusiastic about it than she is.

The kids love the ones with glow-in-the-dark powder that shines in the dark. They take them into a dark room and repeat the process of saying 'It's glowing!' over and over again.I loved that when I was a child, too. It was so exciting to see things glow in the dark.
After doing resin crafts together several times, my daughter has mostly learned how to cure them on her own. This time, she made a few things, including a cat-face mold filled with resin and glow-in-the-dark powder.

I took the flower parts of the lavender I dried the other day, along with some other red-pink dried flowers, set them in resin, attached keychain hardware, and gave them to the kids.

I hope she becomes a child who can enjoy making things, just like Noppo-san, the legendary man I once admired.
PS: If anyone happens to see this note and knows of any disposable rubber gloves that fit a first-grader's small hands, I would appreciate it if you could let me know the manufacturer or details in the comments. Thank you.
