[Yayoi★Diary 188] Komeda's Coffee "Shiro-Noir Pistachio Rouge" Limited Edition
2025/12/21
Last week, it was the Komeda's Coffee "Shiro-Noir Kurumikko," limited to select stores in Tokyo, Kanagawa, Chiba, Saitama, and a few others.
This time, I went to eat the seasonal "Shiro-Noir Pistachio Rouge" available at stores other than those mentioned above.
It was a foregone conclusion, almost like a sense of duty that I had to complete both—no, it was so natural that I didn't even feel that much pressure.

A dish that catches the eye with the contrast between the vibrant pistachio green sauce and the sweet and sour raspberry sauce.
Sprinkled with snow-white feuilletine, it is finished with a gorgeous look perfect for winter.
The fragrant and rich pistachio sauce drizzled over the warm Danish is characterized by its nuttiness and mellow sweetness.
You can enjoy the deep flavor that spreads with every bite.

Visually, the green, red, and white color scheme stands out during the Christmas season, and the pure white feuilletine adds a festive touch like snow.
The scent of pistachio rises faintly with the warmth of the Danish.
Raspberry sauce often has added flavorings and high-fructose corn syrup (commercially available), which feels artificial, so I personally don't like it very much.
The raspberry sauce on this Shiro-Noir didn't have a strong smell, and even I could eat it without feeling bothered by it.
But what I realized was that maybe I just don't like raspberries themselves.
I like lemons, but it seems I don't like sour berries.
The pistachio sauce was delicious, with a nice aroma and nuttiness.
I almost wish they would sandwich something like that between the Danish layers too.
In that sense, it was a little bit underwhelming.
So, based on Yayoi★'s arbitrary judgment, the Kurumikko wins by a landslide.
I'd even want to eat the Kurumikko one again.
Should I cross the border again?
