Comic Essay: [Those Paw Pads Under the Door] Mr. Ellie's Cat-like Daily Life #4
Have you ever peeked at what's on the other side of the door?

That gap under the bathroom door. It's not actually there for cats to stick their paws through; it's apparently an undercut, a gap for ventilation.
No, I want to scream that it's absolutely a gap for cats to stick their front paws through. Why do all cats, this one and that one, stick their paw pads through that gap? (Well, I've only actually experienced it with about three cats, but I see it often in online posts too.)
And when I come out of the bathroom, the cat is nowhere to be seen. So, I had never seen what kind of posture they were in while sticking their paws through the gap.
But one time, my black cat must have missed the timing to leave, and I miraculously got to see it! When I tried to leave the bathroom, the door wouldn't open. There was the sensation of something soft on the other side of the door. I gently pushed it open, forced my head through to peek, and there was my black cat, lying on its back with its legs spread wide, looking up at me with clear, sparkling eyes.
Well, I suppose I shouldn't have expected my black cat to be in an elegant posture.
