8 Points to Keep in Mind When We Write in English (4): First, Master the "Form" (Pattern)
(Continued from above)
Whether in Japanese or English, the first step in writing is patternization, or in other words, "writing according to a form."
Especially since English is a second language for us, even if we are told to "write freely" from the start, it is impossible to do so.
Therefore,
at first, it is fine to write in a "formulaic" or "standardized" way.

"According to a form" applies to the levels of expressions, sentences, and texts alike.
***
First, regarding expressions, there are mountains of books with titles like "English Expressions XX," and there is a vast amount of information online as well.
While making good use of those, if possible, you should learn and acquire them together with a reliable coach.
Once you have acquired hundreds of expressions, outputting daily English conversation will become extremely smooth. This is where you start.
Sentences, in the first place, sentence patterns themselves, such as SVC and SVO, are the epitome of patternization.
Therefore, first, you should firmly master those sentence patterns.
For this as well, I recommend proceeding with your learning alongside a reliable coach. It is overwhelmingly more efficient that way.

TextOne example of a "form" for text is academic writing.
Although this is a concept that originated in the United States, it is quite widely used around the world, so it would be good to start from here.
Let's begin by mastering simple paragraph structures such as "topic sentences" and "support sentences."
I may sound repetitive, but I also recommend proceeding with this learning alongside a reliable coach.
Learning efficiency is completely different depending on whether or not you have an excellent coach by your side.

After mastering various "forms" (patterns) in this way, you should continue to practice and eventually acquire your own personal writing style.
"Enter through the form, and emerge from the form."
