Fairy Tale Story 'Todd's Pendant' - Visiting the Moon Sand Accessory Workshop -
Click here for the previous story!
When Todd entered the dolphin-shaped house, Sally took a bottle containing moon sand from the shelf. The bottle was sealed with a cork stopper.
Sally handed the bottle to Todd and said,
It's a bit big, so hold it with both paws.
Todd took it with both paws, being very, very careful. Inside the bottle, the moon sand made a soft rustling sound.
It's beautiful...
Would you like to open the bottle and touch the moon sand?
Woof! Can I?
Of course.
Sally took the bottle from Todd and slowly opened the cork with her front paws, making a squeaky sound.
Hold out your front paw.
Woof.
When Todd gently held out his front paw, she dropped some moon sand onto it.
It was like gold, or perhaps yellow. Each grain was sparkling and shining.
It's so wonderful...
As Todd stared at it for a while, Sally took a large stone from the back shelf.
This is a stone made by melting and hardening moon sand. We call this shaping, and we carve it into various forms to make accessories.
This is...
Try looking at it from this side. You can see the color change.
Huh? ...Oh, it's pink, woof!
Hehe, that's right. This stone changes color when light hits it or when you change the angle you're looking from.
I see...
Todd remembered the pendant he had lost. It was his favorite, pink, and shaped like a flapjack octopus.
Sally, is it possible to make it look pink all the time?
Hmm, I wonder about that... I've never tried it, so I don't know.
I see...
Worried about Todd, who looked dejected, Sally asked,
Did something happen?
Todd told Sally about the pendant he had lost.
I see... Oh, maybe... No, but if it were possible, would she have told me then... No...
After thinking for a while, Sally said to Todd,
By the way, when did you lose it?
Let's see, I was about three years old, so maybe about four years ago.
I see... You know, Todd, it's not for certain, but perhaps... my daughter might know something. If you'd like, could you try asking my daughter, Lulu?
Oh... u-um. Okay, woof. I'll ask Lulu.
-Going to meet Lulu the sea-cat- (Unreleased)
Afterword
Thank you for reading!
Moon sand accessories appear in this story too, you know!😃
Next time, we'll finally meet Lulu! It's planned to be the final episode, but I might split it depending on the length!
I share things I feel and events from my daily life as stories.
I hope that life shines, just as light shines into the world Todd sees. .。.:*
See you again soon (^^)
