When I asked ChatGPT to break down 'why people get hurt by being left on read,' unexpected emotions emerged
Hello, this is Nakashi🌱
Actually, I always failed high school Japanese. I was terrible at writing essays and thought, 'Writing is impossible for me...'
But now, I'm updating my note daily with AI as my partner.
AI analyzes the psychology of being hurt by being left on read. I will break down the true nature of anxiety and self-denial, and explain concrete measures to avoid being swayed by your emotions.
It says 'read.'
But, there is no reply.
Just because of that,
my heart feels uneasy.
'Did I say something wrong?'
'Am I hated?'
'Is there someone else they prioritize?'
I checked my phone over and over again.
If I were calm,
I might realize they are just busy.
But my heart automatically goes to the worst-case scenario.
So, I asked ChatGPT.
'Why do people get hurt by being left on read? Please break down the psychological structure.'
What came out was
a deeper answer than I had imagined.
*I will show you the entire process from the 'can't write' state to completing one article with a real example.👇
Being left on read looks like 'rejection'
This is what the AI brought up first.
Read = Seen
No reply = Ignored
The brain creates this formula.
The fact is just 'no reply.'
But the interpretation is 'rejection.'
People react strongly to rejection.
Because,
there is a fear of being excluded from society.
In primitive times, isolation meant danger to one's life.
That remnant still exists today.
That is why being left on read
triggers the heart more than one might imagine.
In reality, it is not the 'other person' but 'oneself' that is wavering.
The AI continued like this.
Getting hurt by being left on read happens when:
・You feel your value is low
・You have a strong desire for approval
・You are dependent on the other person
In other words,
rather than the other person's actions,
it is your own anxiety that is reacting.
This was unexpected.
I thought I had been hurt.
But in reality,
it was my own inner self that was wavering.
Why does this appear so strongly in romantic relationships?
Romance is a place for validation.
Whether or not you are liked
is always on your mind.
Therefore,
reply speed,
number of emojis,
length of the message
all look like signs.
But the AI said this.
A slow reply does not necessarily mean a lack of interest
They might be at work.
They might simply be putting it off.
We fill the 'blank' space
with negativity.
How not to be swayed by being left on read
So, what should you do?
1. Separate facts from interpretation
Fact: There is no reply
Interpretation: They dislike me
Separate these two things.
2. Have a world of your own
While waiting for a reply,
make plans.
Work on something.
Meet with friends.
Reduce the time you spend waiting.
3. Organize your emotions with AI

Being left on read was a 'mirror'
Reasons why being left on read hurts.
・Fear of rejection
・Desire for approval
・Fluctuation in self-worth
It is not just the other person's issue.
Your own inner self is being reflected.
Whenever I got a slow reply, I would
immediately blame myself.
But now,
'This is my own anxiety'
I can realize that.
Just that alone makes me feel better.
Being left on read is scary.
But it can also be an opportunity to
get to know yourself.
If you are currently
suffering because you haven't received a reply.
Before looking at your phone,
try looking into your own heart.
Love is a relationship with someone else.
But anxiety is a relationship with yourself.
And for those who want to know more
about organizing romantic emotions and analyzing timing,
I have also compiled information on AI-assisted relationship design
in a separate note.
