There are times when you don't know
what to make
or what you want to eat.
Maybe you're tired,
busy,
or have no ingredients in the fridge.
There are many reasons.
At times like that,
how about some quick and easy fried rice?
If you have
canned tuna, eggs, and green onions in stock,
you can make it quickly and easily.
Plus!!!
With fried rice,
you can be satisfied with just this one dish!
Highly recommended♪
And! This tuna fried rice
has a secret to making it delicious every time, even when you make it in a rush.
That is,
making tuna soboro (minced tuna) first.
This becomes the base of the umami,
and since it spreads throughout the rice,
the flavor is guaranteed to be perfect.
Actually, I was really torn about
how strong to make the flavor of this tuna crumble.
I thought about using 1/2 tablespoon each of soy sauce and mirin, but
After releasing the video,
since everyone eats a different amount of rice per serving,
I thought some people might find it too bland.
So, I decided on
1/2 to 1 tablespoon each of soy sauce and mirin.
If you prefer a lighter flavor, use 1/2 tablespoon each.
If you prefer a slightly stronger flavor,
please use 1 tablespoon each of soy sauce and mirin.
(Since I add soy sauce again at the end,
the flavor will be perfect!)
Once the tuna crumble is done,
add the eggs, and then immediately add the rice too!!
This is also an important point.
The tuna, eggs, and rice will mix together perfectly without any issues,
resulting in a fluffy, gentle-tasting fried rice.
Plus, since you can stir-fry it without adding extra oil,
it finishes with a light and gentle flavor.
You know, sometimes fried rice
can be too oily and heavy on the stomach, right?
I think even those people will be able to enjoy this.
I call it fried rice, but
it's actually more like a mixed rice style of fried rice.
The soy sauce added at the end!
Since this is used to adjust the final flavor,
you can make it delicious without any mistakes.
When adding the soy sauce,
instead of pouring it directly over the rice,
push the rice aside so you can see the pan,
and pour the soy sauce directly onto that spot.
The soy sauce will sizzle and caramelize, which boosts the aroma and flavor!
(Please watch the video!)
This fried rice has a flavor that is gentle on both the stomach and the heart.
When you're not feeling motivated,
or when you're feeling a bit tired, keep this as a go-to recipe.
Please, by all means, add it to your repertoire.

As for variations on how to eat it,
Plum and Shiso Fried Rice!!
Just add some pickled plums cut with kitchen shears at the end.
If you have it, adding green shiso leaves is also
refreshing and great!

When you want to eat something a bit more hearty,
try Garlic & Garlic Chive Fried Rice too!!
Swap the ginger for garlic,
and add garlic chives instead of green onions!!
It's best to stir-fry the garlic chives
with the tuna before adding the eggs.

It's delicious even when cold, so it's recommended for bento boxes too!!
I served it with mustard-pickled cucumbers and cherry tomatoes.
The nice thing about fried rice is that you don't even need a side dish!
