A night that was fun, but secretly lonely
Seeing the line for Christmas cakes,
I realized that today is that kind of day.
……A few seconds later.
I was drawn in as well,
and found myself in that line, haha.
Why do people,
eat cake on Christmas, I wonder.

Christmas is,
a time that everyone spends in such different ways, isn't it.
Some people had a lively time,
some people were working,
and some people had nothing special happen at all.
And among them,
there are those who feel, "It was fun, but for some reason, it's a bit quiet..."
They carry that kind of feeling.
Spending time with someone,
laughing...
Even though it was properly Christmas.
When you are alone,
or as the day slowly comes to an end,
there is a moment when your feelings suddenly become quiet.
It's not that...
it wasn't fun.
And it's not that I wasn't fulfilled.
It's just that...
once the bustle outside settles down,
perhaps the sounds inside just become a little easier to hear.
Outside, the illuminations are shining,
and the city is still sparkling.
But inside,
along with the end of the day,
something is quietly calming down.
In that way,
it is common for the human heart
for the outside and the inside not to move at the same speed.
Precisely because there was a fun time,
sometimes silence comes
in the aftermath of that lingering feeling.
That doesn't mean
that either one is wrong,
and there is no need to cancel out either one.
Feeling that it was fun,
and feeling a little lonely,
can happen at the same time.
Both of them
are truly that person's feelings.
It was fun, but I feel lonely inside
That is very natural for a human being, and
it is proof that you are feeling things properly.
Nights like that, too,
are properly a part of the 25th.

✦ Why does guilt arise during 'time spent doing nothing'?
Why does my heart feel restless when I am not doing anything?
This is an article that looks at that feeling without blaming yourself.

I layer Kukai's words with the concept of 'removing differences' as a perspective to gently untangle the heart that compares.

I wrote about how to perceive time—that even periods that feel like they are standing still are actually within the flow.
