[Cram School x Episode (Part 1)] Why do I have to study? ✏️ | The answer from a cram school owner 🐶 is...
One day, I was moved by an article.
▼ Why do I have to study?
Sakuramochi-san 🌸
It was an article that conveyed a mother's love as she gently watches over her child's future ✨
And thank you for a theme that makes a cram school instructor itch to talk about it 😆
The reason is that when working as a cram school instructor,
this question from students is a "common occurrence."
It is a magic spell cast by students who have lost the desire to study!
🪄 The Ultimate Magic: The Fundamental Argument
I see.
If that can be resolved, will they study... I wonder?
I once
"Why do I have to study math?"
faced this question from a student seriously,
and was able to find my own answer.
▼ If you are interested, please take a look at this too!
For me, I reached the conclusion that the power to learn math is the "power to survive in society."
Math, yet "society"...?
Yes. Even though it's math.
Or rather, because it's math.
However, this theme
is on a slightly larger scale.
✏️ Why do I have to study?
I have
a clear answer to this question.
I don't know if this answer is correct.
Moreover, saying this from the position of a cram school instructor
might be considered strange.
However, looking back on my life so far,
I want to convey what I have gained through my experience.
I will start with the conclusion.
You don't actually have to study.
Yes.
I have now made an enemy of everyone in the education industry.
I'm sure there are many counterarguments.
But please hear me out for a moment.
It is because I believe that studying is not something you "must" do, but rather something that is "better" to do.
Adult study 🧑 / Children's study 🧒
The study that adults do voluntarily always has a clear "
purpose." That varies from person to person, such as "I want to get a certification" or "I want to enrich my life."
There is no room for the question, "Why do I have to study?" in the first place.
However, children are different.
They sit at their desks for tests, following given textbooks without even knowing the purpose of learning.
It is certainly no wonder that they might think, "Why?"
Oh, me?
I didn't find it strange.
I simply liked studying.
But I felt the same way about physical education.
"Why do I have to be able to do a back hip circle?"
I remember when I was in elementary school and couldn't do a back hip circle no matter what,
staying after school in the dim twilight
and kicking the ground.
In the end, I couldn't do it until I was in the second year of junior high school...
But I thought at that time.
If I couldn't do a back hip circle for the rest of my life,
would I have become an adult who couldn't make it in society?
The answer is no.
I have never been told to do a back hip circle during university entrance exams or job hunting.
Yet, I am still alive.
I have never regretted, "If only I could have done a back hip circle back then!!"
and I probably never will.
"Saying you don't have to study...
What are you talking about!
Don't compare it to a back hip circle!
You'll have trouble when you get out into society if you do that!"
Yes. You are absolutely right.
In the case of studying, you will have trouble after you get out into society.
But when people are in trouble, they study on their own!
You can never just say, "Oh well."
For example...
Suppose you suddenly had to live in Germany.
However, the only German I can use right now is
the two sentences I learned in college.
■Guten Morgen
(Good morning)
■Ich liebe dich
(I love you)
...I honestly don't know how I managed to get the credits.
A suspicious person who can only greet people and confess their lovewould
never survive in Germany.
So, you would study desperately.
"Isn't it too late by then?"
That's right.
If so, thenyou should be aware of "being in trouble when you enter society"
from an early stage.
Comparing it to summer vacation homework
might make it easier to understand.
"It will be a problem if I don't submit my homework after summer vacation ends"
Some children start their homework
before summer vacation even beginsto address this task.
Among them, there are children whofinish it systematically, and perhaps some who
stay up all night cryingon the last day.
Of course, the task is the same for everyone.
But...
the timing at which you become aware of "being in trouble"
completely changes your subsequent actions.
Studying is not a must.
It is better to have done it.
Because,
being in trouble in the future is a must (certain). That is why.
If you know you will be in trouble early on, isn't it better to be prepared?
