# Reflection Note | 1 Month Since Debut | Things That Have Settled, Things That Haven't, etc.

Hello. This is Hironi.
It's already been one month since my note debut. I'd like to look back on it.

September 1st, posted my first article, "Self-Introduction."
September 29th, posted my 10th article.

Whether 10 articles in one month is a lot or a little is beside the point,
this is my current pace.
After continuing for this past month, I've summarized today the things that have somewhat settled down
and the things that still haven't.

Things that have settled

1. The "Dearu" (plain) vs. "Desumasu" (polite) style issue

I wrote about this in the article above. In my fourth article, I was still wandering,
and I was unsure about my tone, but my conclusion at the time was
that I would go with the "desumasu" style for the time being.

However, in reality, I use the "desumasu" style for serious articles where I want to convey something.
And for articles I call "~Break Time~," which are more like free-form musings, I use the "dearu" style.
Before I knew it, I was naturally switching between them.

Then, around my seventh article, I realized something.
Even when I'm trying to convey something to someone, I feel like the words come out more naturally
if I use the "dearu" style.
The "desumasu" style makes things look neat, but it feels a bit distant.

So, how did it settle? I use the "desumasu" style for the opening and closing words,
and the "dearu" style for the main content.
That's how it has settled for now.
In the end, it's a mix.

2. The posting pace issue

When I read articles by many senior noters,
there are many who say, "I post every day!"
I think that's amazing.
Even if I think, "I want to try that someday too!"
I'm just a person who goes at my own pace, so I haven't tried it yet.

As for now, once I post something,
it feels like my heart gauge becomes empty.

Then I feel it gradually filling up again,
(various words start floating around in my head)
and once it passes 50%, I start drafting. I do that little by little too.
And once it comes together, I let it sit until the next day to review it.
Then I think, "Alright! Let's go with this," and upload it.

Sometimes I hear a whisper in my ear saying,
"Just write anything, come on!"
and I also dream of trying out paid articles.
However, if I put too much meaning into "just keep writing,"
for me, writing might become tough and the fun might decrease.
That would be counterproductive, so for now, I'll keep going at this steady pace.

Things that haven't settled

1. The occasional loss of confidence issue

Every day, for the sake of learning, I read articles by people I follow,
or I read articles because the title caught my eye and I give them a "like."
The number is small, but I do that too.

However, the more I wander through the streets of Note and keep reading,
my confidence sometimes shrinks.
Everyone's writing is good and interesting.
There are also things that are "helpful" and things that make me think, "I see."
I end up comparing myself, and my heart shrinks a little.
Everyone looks like "amazing people," and I start thinking, "Am I okay?"
Is this a common experience for beginner noters??

2. The occasional feeling of being lost issue

I also occasionally read articles by people who are earning money on Note
or who are active using Note as part of their work.
There are many ways to proceed and many ways of thinking.
The more I read, the more I don't know how I should proceed,
and I find myself groaning, "Hmm."

Maybe I should just follow one person as a mentor,
but if a title catches my eye, I end up reading it anyway.
If it contains something important, I absorb it right away.
As a result, I end up like a lost child wandering the streets of Note.
Then I think, "Reading too much isn't good either," and I try closing my PC.
Is this also a common experience for beginner noters??

Conclusion

I looked back on my first month since my first post.
As mentioned earlier, there are things that have settled down, and things that haven't yet.

However, my own pace is working in my favor in some ways.
A common beginner experience I often see in articles is people feeling anxious or down
because they aren't getting likes or follows easily,
and I've seen many people say they felt the same way.

In my case, I don't really worry about the number of "likes" yet.
Maybe it's because I don't have the capacity to, or maybe it's just my pace.
Rather than the number, when I first see that one heart, I feel a sense of
gratitude overflowing for that person, and that one heart feels very precious.

Even if it doesn't reach 100 or 1,000 people, it reached someone.
Perhaps that's why I feel that way.
The feeling of gratitude outweighs the anxiety.

And another thing is that, more than wanting to be read or wanting to reach people,
right now, the desire to "write" and "share" is stronger.
I think that's why I feel fulfilled first.

But of course, there are many people who get a lot of hearts,
like 300 or over 1,000, and I think that's amazing and nice.
Because that means they've gained the empathy of so many people.
Of course, I aim for that too.
Even if it's one or two digits now, in a year's time when I look back,
I hope to be able to report something like, "I received triple-digit likes!"

Both are my true feelings.

And although I still get lost sometimes,
I have clear purposes and goals, so I will move forward step by step as a noter.

My experiences, thoughts, ideas, and messages are one of a kind,
and your experiences, thoughts, ideas, and messages are also one of a kind.

Note is what it is because of everyone's individual stories.
In a city of amazing people,
no matter how intimidated I might feel, I will continue to create "my note."
And your note, too.

Thank you for reading until the end today.
Thank you very much.
