✅ Profile Introduction
Shigeki Kawahara, a 'Future Realization Partner' who increases revenue pillars
—From upstream business strategy, including idea conceptualization, planning, test marketing, and execution, I work with you to increase your revenue pillars!—
In this era of change, simply extending what you have been doing is not enough. To business owners who are worried, thinking, 'I need to do something new!' but 'How do I do it?',
the 'seeds of ideas' to turn a pinch into an opportunity
seeds of ideas are already in your head. To draw out those ideas, you need a
good listener. I am often told, 'It feels so natural, like you just slip into my mind,' and as we become friends, I surprise people with questions that draw out the essence, making them say, '
That's amazing!'. They say, '
How do you know what I'm thinking!?? ', but I reply, '
No, no, I just summarized what you just said...' (Business owners can often speak passionately but struggle to put it into writing. Well, that's not a big problem; everyone just needs to focus on what they are good at. It's a matter of dividing roles.) Furthermore, when I
illustrate
the flow of the conversation, they sometimes shout with high excitement, '
Wow! How can you do something like this!!'
'No, this is amazing. You've already finished the (project proposal)!' and are surprised. Then they smile and ask, '
Can I have these notes?'. '
Of course. We created them together, after all. But it's hard to execute them alone, so it's good to have a partner nearby...' I say, Have you ever thought, 'It would be great to have another version of myself next to me who asks questions from a completely different perspective and quickly jots down what comes to mind'?
I am always on standby right next to you as a partner to generate new ideas and future strategies.
Shigeki Kawahara, a 'Future Realization Partner' who increases revenue pillars
・ You want to start something new but don't know where to begin
・ You have no outlook on how much time and investment it will take for the business to succeed
・ You are working incredibly hard but things are not progressing as you hoped
I stand by such business owners, release the energy stored within, and move the business forward and accelerate it.
From short-term business launch to steady execution
Supporting business owners and teams taking on new challenges
I focus particularly on upstream business strategy consideration and concept design that works backward from the ideal future image.
When I was little, 'disassembly' was my starting point
Since I was a child, I have been playing with plastic models, soldering irons, amateur radio, and computers (microcomputers at the time), constantly disassembling things while wondering, 'What's inside?'. To put it nicely, I was full of curiosity. I questioned the things and events in front of me and dug thoroughly. I was a child who just had to know the principles and structures.

'Disassembly' reveals the structure. If you understand the structure, you can get closer to the essence. If you grasp things by structuring them, you can predict the future.
Prerequisites + Problem Structure → Future Simulation → Problem Solving Ideas
Images expand one after another in my head. The starting point for that is 'disassembly'.

After entering the workforce, my innovation temperament blossomed
After joining Fujitsu Limited, I was selected as a project leader for new product development in my second year and worked on the development of the world's first product. In a new project, the methods are not decided, and the future is invisible. That's why I think it's fun, but it seems that people around me thought I was a strange guy grinning in such a situation. When I think that it's not decided and I can do it freely, my ideas expand and I get excited.
Without being asked by anyone, I took it upon myself to launch a project and start developing a new product. I once managed to secure a business deal in just six months. Are you familiar with the 'd button' on your TV remote? It is a 'data broadcasting' feature that allows you to participate in quizzes by pressing the button. When you press the button, the TV screen changes, and I planned the development of the software that makes that movement possible all by myself. I started an internal study group on my own, and miraculously, talented team members gathered. While the cooperation of those around me was a major factor in our success, the project would never have started if I hadn't called for it. In new business ventures, the beginning is crucial. Creating the spark and setting the direction—from there, unexpected developments can occur.
Envisioning an exciting future that no one has ever seen before. Innovation begins with a delusion. That is what I believe. That is why I want to stand by ideas that might be called the president's delusions and nurture them with care. I support the creation of mechanisms to involve others while grinning along with the president.
I have also experienced many failures. Or rather, new business projects rarely go as planned. Whether you view that as a failure or a learning opportunity is up to you. If things don't go well, moving on quickly is also one of my strengths. Reflection, learning, and organizational learning are also major themes. Often contrasted with innovation, I also support organizational learning, building a growing organization, and managing autonomous organizations. What steps should be taken to get members to act spontaneously? Designing the environment and processes for that is important.
Sometimes I am a difficult person who bites back at my superiors. I cannot leave things that are wrong alone, so I end up saying, 'That is incorrect.' Regardless of position, I want to create an atmosphere where people can say what they want constructively. However, one must be careful about how they say things. Being right but saying it in a way that makes people angry does not lead to good results. From this reflection, I learned about communication. Acknowledgment and empathy for the other person, making everyone smile—communication is the foundation of everything.
As a Management Consultant: [Three Perspectives I Value]
In my management consulting work, these are the three perspectives I value.

Innovation(Starting from a sense of discomfort to develop a business strategy with a broad perspective)
Management(Creating 'mechanisms' to achieve steady results without overexertion)
Communication(Unleashing everyone's talent in an atmosphere where people can speak their true feelings!)
These three perspectives are what remained after I learned from many failures. I approach the essence simply.
✅ About my hobbies
(1) Internet searching
I was hooked on the internet even before it became widespread. I have been searching daily since the early days of Yahoo! and the AltaVista era. When Google appeared around 2000, it was shocking. People have said I am fast at internet searching since then, but it might just be that I search a lot.
Even now, I enjoy searching for terms that pique my interest.
(2) Library enthusiast, extensive reading, speed reading
I often use libraries to gather information. I have decided that whenever I become interested in various things, I will read all the books that catch my attention.
When I was a child, I was bad at Japanese. I struggled because I could only write one line for book reports, but when I was a company employee, I used to spend all my time in the company library, reading (or browsing) the books lined up on the shelves one after another. Magazines are updated every month, so my interest never runs out. It is fun to have my horizons broadened and my world expanded.
After I started using my local public library, I learned that I could use libraries outside my neighborhood, and at one point, I was utilizing eight different libraries. Since I started keeping records 12 years ago, my reading history has exceeded 4,000 books. I'm a bit obsessed. My '30-minute speed reading method' is an original skill I naturally acquired during that time.
(3) Music lover
Basically, I'm a listener, and while I have clear likes and dislikes, my taste in genres is quite broad.
I've been a fan of Akiko Yano for about 40 years now. I also got hooked on YMO. Around the same time, I also got into Casiopea (which was a fusion band back then).
Recently, I've been listening to Official Hige Dandism, STUTS, and Harami-chan on YouTube.
I love jazz, and if jazz is playing in a shop, I end up staying longer than intended. Miles Davis and others are great, aren't they?
✅ I occasionally hold speed reading seminars lol
When I occasionally posted about my extensive reading at the library on Facebook, people would ask, 'How long does it take you to read one book?' When I replied, 'I can read one in 30 minutes,' I started getting asked, 'Teach me!' and the speed reading seminars I started somewhat casually have been well-received!
I occasionally hold seminars on Street Academy (Street-A).
The theory and practical workshop are completed in two hours.
It's a valuable seminar where you can acquire a lifelong skill.
Just like touch typing makes you faster at typing, speed reading is a skill that should ideally be a mandatory subject in school. It's a lifelong skill that everyone would benefit from acquiring early. I continue to do this as my life's work to increase the number of people who can do it.
The way you read books will change 180 degrees
How to read books that they don't teach you in school
Those who have read speed reading books but haven't quite mastered it are also very welcome
Even those who have failed at PhotoReading are fine; no painful training is required
You will truly finish reading one book during the two-hour seminar!
Perfect for those who are troubled by piles of unread books!!

✅ Thoughts on Business Planning
When I was working on new businesses in practice, I thought business plans were a waste of time. The ideals written in plans were disconnected from reality, and they were almost never useful.
However, I now strongly feel the importance of business plans. Ideas that exist only in the president's head are nothing more than "delusions" to those around them. But if you properly bring them out and give them shape, they become a respectable "business plan" that can be used to explain things to financial institutions and business partners!
However, creating a business plan by the president alone takes too much time and is difficult for employees and those around them to understand. There are a few tips for making a plan that carries influence.
Grasp the whole picture and organize it as a causal relationship and story
Grasp the essence and state it simply
Always add explanations to numerical plans and charts
While supporting the formulation of business plans that are close to the president's vision and properly communicated, I became convinced that this is my area of expertise.
✅ Subsidy Support Track Record
Utilizing subsidy systems that lead to a boost for new businesses. I support the creation of business plans necessary for subsidy applications. To ensure that obtaining the subsidy does not become the goal, I formulate optimal investment plans while also conveying the benefits and risks.I carefully listen to the president's vision and turn it into words and numbers.
Sometimes the presidents I support are surprised, saying, "Exactly, that's it! How do you know what I'm thinking??" but I just laugh and say, "No, no, I just summarized what you just said."Presidents can often talk about their vision, but are not good at writing it in a way that gets the message across.
I am involved as a specialist in that area, and I compile it into a business plan that conveys your message. I often learn a lot myself by listening to industry-specific problems and challenges. I want to support new businesses as a solution to social issues. I often think that it is the company presidents who passionately talk about their "delusions"—which are not easily understood—who end up changing society.
Currently, I have a track record of over 90% adoption rate in support. The total amount of funding adopted for my clients has exceeded 450 million yen.
Business Restructuring Subsidy
Monodzukuri (Manufacturing) Subsidy
IT Introduction Subsidy
It is said that the adoption rate for the Business Restructuring Subsidy is about 30% (based on overall statistics), but I do not refer to averages or probabilities. It is not about probability; I simply compile the plan so that it gets adopted.
I believe that the high adoption rate is the result of properly conveying the essence.
