Self-Introduction | Former model, now dedicating my life to "creating books that convey a person's true self"!

Nice to meet you! My name is Noa Mizukami ☺️

I had been thinking “I want to start a note” for a long time, but I couldn't quite take the first step. Finally, I gathered my courage and am writing my very first post!

Since this is my first post, I'd like to start with a self-introduction and talk about a "dream" I am truly determined to make come true. I would be happy if you could spend just a little time with me...!

About my time as a model

I worked as a model from my late teens.

I was featured in magazines and stood in front of cameras, so from the outside, I think it looked like a glamorous world. But in reality, my weight management, my work choices, and even my private life were all decided by others every single day. Honestly, there were many times I felt like I was just a product.

Then, at 26, my agency terminated my contract, citing my "age" as the reason.

At that time, my world truly went dark. But looking back now, it was because of that experience that I realized, "A person's value isn't determined by their appearance or title, but by their thoughts and what they can deliver to others."

Now, I have started my own business and work as an entrepreneur, focusing on "conveying thoughts."

October 23, 2025, the day my life changed 📖

On October 23rd of last year, I published a book titled "Beautiful Slave" through Karube Publishing.

The title is a bit shocking, isn't it? (laughs) But this is exactly who I was during my modeling days. Days spent suppressing my own will behind the scenes of a glamorous world. This book is packed with those experiences and everything I learned from them.

What I talked about regarding my modeling days earlier was only a small part; I wrote this book to fully express the dark side of the industry and my personal experiences with misogyny that I couldn't write about here.

And by publishing this book, a conviction was born within me.

“Books are the ultimate tool for correctly conveying your own thoughts and feelings...!”

Since publishing the book, the distance between me and people I meet for the first time has shrunk instantly, and there are people who come to see me saying, "I read your book." My alter ego delivers my thoughts in places where I am not present. I have experienced that feeling many times.

It would be a waste to keep this moving experience all to myself...!
That is what I thought.

What I truly want to achieve

In the publishing industry until now, if you wanted to create your own book, you needed a huge amount of money, ranging from millions to tens of millions of yen. Honestly, I think it was a world where only a limited number of wealthy people could publish. I believe this basic structure will not change in the future either.

However, I have always questioned this “only those who already have it” structure where only they can publish books.

In the midst of this, the future that Karube Publishing is seriously trying to realize is wonderful, and I wanted to work together to make such a society a reality.

That is,

“a society where anyone can take on the challenge at a low cost, and anyone can create a book where their thoughts are articulated and properly conveyed to others”

Business owners, of course, as well as company employees, homemakers, and students.

“I want to create my own book!” “I want to deliver my feelings, thoughts, and experiences to people who are struggling right now!”

Everyone who has such thoughts can properly publish a book through a publisher. We provide support for that.

The story within you is much more of a support to someone than you think. I realize this every day, as my own painful experiences from my modeling days are now a source of strength that encourages many people.

That is why I can say with certainty: You, too, have a story to tell...!☺️

What I want to convey at the end

In this note, from now on, I plan to share a lot of things, such as:

• the behind-the-scenes of actual book production and the real stories leading up to publication

• tips for “putting the thoughts residing in your heart into words”

• the wonderful changes in the people I have supported

and much more!

And... everyone writing on note surely has the desire to “convey something through words,” right?
