3 K-Dramas That Gave Me Such Severe Withdrawal I Couldn't Stop
Hello. I'm mira, living in Munich, Germany.
Thank you for visiting♪
I'm a housewife who has been watching K-dramas for about 3 years, ever since I first started watching them in 2022 and got hooked, and I've been watching them almost every day since.
I have watched over 110 titles so far.
I watch pretty much anything regardless of genre, old or new, as long as it's not horror (zombie) related. Out of all the works I've seen, I'd like to introduce 3 that were so incredibly interesting that I couldn't stop feeling withdrawal for a while after the final episode.
Crash Landing on You

It's so famous that I don't even need to explain it, but it's a drama that became a huge hit when it aired in 2019.
It was also a hot topic that the leads, Son Ye-jin and Hyun Bin, ended up together in real life and even had a child, right?
It's a romance drama about a South Korean heiress who crash-lands in North Korea due to a paragliding accident, and the elite North Korean soldier who helps her.
With heart-fluttering romance, chaebol drama, action scenes, comedy scenes, and so much more, it's packed with everything that makes K-dramas unique and is truly interesting. The story, which is unique to South Korea being divided, is also great. So close, yet unable to meet...!!
The two leads are also so beautiful that it's a feast for the eyes. Truth be told, I got hooked on K-dramas after watching this, so you could say it's my debut K-drama. It was so interesting that after I finished the final episode, I immediately went back to episode 1... and repeated that, watching it 7 times in a row (lol).
Lovely Runner

I chose this drama without any expectations, just thinking I'd watch something random since I had a few days left before my U-NEXT free trial ended, but I'm sooooo glad I watched it just in time!! Nice job, me!!!! lol
It was so much more interesting than I could have ever imagined from the synopsis: 'A fantasy romance about a female fan who time-travels to the past to save the life of her favorite artist who passed away.' Without a doubt, my best K-drama of 2024!
She time-travels several times, and the intricate script is just brilliant. The way the foreshadowing is resolved is a masterpiece.
And Byun Woo-seok is just too handsome...!!
What's up with him being cool, tall, having a great physique, and being good at both acting and singing?
Sun-jae-ya~~~~!!!!
The King's Affection

This was my first historical K-drama, and at first, it was difficult because I wasn't used to the power dynamics within the royal palace or the titles of the government officials, but it was a drama that could be fully enjoyed even if you couldn't quite keep up with those parts.
It's the story of a woman who was destined to become king, secretly cross-dressing in place of her twin brother who was supposed to inherit the throne, and her first love. It was interesting to see her unable to let her true identity be known while also being unable to suppress her feelings, all while conspiracies and power struggles swirled around the royal palace...!
After I finished watching the final episode, I was in withdrawal for a while and kept listening to the OST over and over.
Park Eun-bin is truly such a great actress...!
I also fell for Rowoon (lol). What is up with the Korean entertainment industry constantly churning out tall, handsome actors one after another?
Conclusion
If I had to pick just three, these are the dramas, but there are actually sooooo many others I recommend.
I also had quite a bit of withdrawal from 'Secret Garden,' and 'Vincenzo' was also great...!!
'Misaeng' and 'Hospital Playlist' are also hard to leave out... Once I start listing them, there's no end (lol).
I hope to continue being entertained by K-dramas in the future!
Thank you for reading until the end. Let's meet again♪ Tschüs!
I'm currently going through trial and error to enjoy life in Germany.
I've written a few reviews of K-dramas I've watched.
