Tsurukame Cup, Senryu Division!

As the owner of our note river bench circle, Sora-san,
I will definitely be participating in the Senryu contest too!

I will make sure to compose 3 poems!

Changing my look, getting a mushroom perm and piercings

It's not my first time with short hair, but
it's my first time ever getting a perm.
I was nervous about whether it would suit me, but
when you go this short, the piercings stand out and it's fun.
I really wanted to use the phrase 'mushroom perm,' so it turned into this kind of poem.
Before I knew it, it was full of katakana.

Now, here is another poem.

Man's world, Godzilla breathing fire, cumulonimbus cloud

This was taken last year.
It really looked like it was breathing fire, so
I snapped a photo on impulse☆
The industrial zone in the background
(named 'Man's World' by Minchon)
combined with it makes for a beautiful photo created by nature and man.
I might as well post it to Min-Photo too.

Now, here is the final poem.

Passing train, confessing to you, being confessed to

Yes, the moment you've all been waiting for (?), the finale of the story that continued through
short-short・haiku (2nd poem)・tanka (1st poem).

I thought, 'Just confess already,' so
I made them confess.
But I thought it wouldn't be interesting if they just confessed, so
I made it like a simultaneous accidental explosion (devilish).
Waiting on the platform for the train, while the two of them are waiting,
they work up the courage to confess, but unexpectedly they do it at the same time,
and on top of that, a train passes by.
It's like they both say 'Huh?' to each other, get shy, and it takes time to say it again. (Truly devilish)
But by the time the train arrives, they'll probably be holding hands without worrying about sweaty palms♡

I struggled with how to express it in 17 syllables.
This amount of information might have been better for a tanka; I regret not cutting the summer seasonal word, but I like the final 'confessing to you, being confessed to'.

I never thought it would turn into a story like this. Thanks to the wonderful comments, I was able to make this Tsurukame Cup entry into a story.

I feel like I've definitely improved since I first participated.
Whether it's tanka, haiku, senryu, or just regular writing,
where you place the spotlightmakes the same event look different.
Writing and words are so interesting.
This was a round that made me feel even more that I want to keep writing on note!
