[Happy Habits] Have you forgotten how to feel?
Have you forgotten how to feel?
In our busy daily lives, we have become less conscious of "what we feel."
Even when the wind blows or the seasons change, we don't have the luxury of noticing those shifts.
But recently, I've found a little time to pause.
"Have you felt the wind lately?"
Walking while avoiding the crowds.
Rushing to your destination.
Thinking about today's schedule.
Living like that every day, perhaps there is little time to be conscious of the "wind."
Walking is a habit of mine.
At first, the goal was just "to walk."
To build physical strength.
To resolve a lack of exercise.
For the sake of physical health.
That's why I was focused only on "walking."
🌿 🌿 🌿
As I continued walking, I started to turn my attention to the wind.
The wind touching my cheeks.
The sound of leaves rustling together.
The slightly damp morning air.
I hadn't paid any attention to these things before.
Little by little, they started to come into view.
While I am feeling the wind, my mind becomes quiet.
"Was that the right thing to do?"
"I have to get this done today."
"I didn't like that attitude."
Such thoughts gradually drift away.
When you turn your attention to the wind and nature, you naturally return to "this very moment."
🌿 🌿 🌿
It is said that bathing in the morning sun triggers the secretion of serotonin, which helps regulate the mind.
At night, it converts into melatonin, which aids sleep, allowing you to sleep soundly.
Also, it is said that the wind and the swaying of trees have a "1/f fluctuation" that relaxes people.
It is also said to have the effect of relaxing the mind.
Perhaps that is why, by the time I finish my walk, my heart feels a little lighter.
🌿 🌿 🌿
Before, I thought it was important to "walk a lot" during my walks.
But recently, there is something I value more than that.
How much I was able to feel nature.
How quiet my heart became.
Whether I was able to return to my own heart.
I value my "comfortable self."
The wind is invisible.
But it shakes the leaves, brushes against my skin, and tells me of the changing seasons.
Perhaps the heart is the same.
"I was tired, wasn't I?"
"I was feeling impatient, wasn't I?"
When you stop for a moment, you can hear the voice of your own heart.
A happy daily life was found when I stopped.
Feeling the wind.
Looking up at the sky.
Taking a deep breath.
The accumulation of such small habits
is gradually putting my heart in order.
Have you felt the wind lately?
On busy days, try stopping for just a moment.
That wind might just make your day a happy one.
