[Comparing 11 Types] An Ally for Body Building! The Ultimate Protein Soup Showdown
It has been one month since I started going to a personal gym.
I was given the homework to "consume 100g of protein every day," but once I actually tried it, I realized that consciously consuming that much protein is incredibly difficult. It's too reckless.
What helped me with my protein intake was the existence of protein soup. Just when I got tired of shaking and drinking protein powder, I happened to find it on Amazon. Since then, I've been drinking protein soup every day for a month.
On the other hand, while drinking various protein soups, I've learned which ones are cost-effective and which ones taste good, so this time, out of the 11 products I've tried, I'd like to hold the Ultimate Protein Soup Showdown.
"Cost-effectiveness," "Taste," and "Protein Content" were taken into account to create this ranking!

Overall Ranking
1. Slim Up Slim 21 Vegetable Potage / Rich Corn Soup

The protein content is an overwhelming No. 1 at 27g. The price is also reasonable, making it No. 1 in cost-effectiveness. It's a "when in doubt, choose this" kind of product. The taste is like a rich soup, and while it can feel powdery if you mess up the amount of hot water, it's within an acceptable range since you can adjust it as much as you want. I'm a fan of the vegetable potage!
In addition to protein, it also contains 5000mg of collagen and 11 types of vitamins.

The vegetable potage actually contains cabbage, and the corn soup has little bits that feel like corn kernels, so there is a subtle texture as well. Just this one cup is enough to satisfy my hunger. If you want to consume protein efficiently, Slim Up Slim is the only choice.
2. Korede Mushroom Cheese Soup

Honestly, Slim Up Slim isn't bad, but when you drink this after Slim Up, the taste is at a level that makes you startled by how good it is. The mushroom flavor and cheese are a perfect match, and I finish it in no time. Its cost-effectiveness is also 5th out of the 11 products, which isn't bad.
It's also a point that it uses soy protein, which is rare for protein soups.
It has 10g of protein, but with only 4.8g of carbohydrates, it's a well-balanced soup. Above all, since it's a "quasi-complete nutritional food" developed in collaboration with doctors, it's packed with ingredients that are good for your body, such as vitamins, iron, DHA, and lactic acid bacteria.
It's also great that it doesn't use preservatives or artificial sweeteners. It's a soup that balances taste and kindness to the body.
3. Exaslim LCD Protein Soup Spinach and Savory Onion Cream Soup

As you can see from the photo, this is a protein soup packed with ingredients. It's incredibly delicious, and the satisfaction of one serving is insane! (laughs) The protein content is 20.2g, which is 2nd overall. It features a double blend of whey protein and soy protein.
The only downside is that the price is a bit high... The price per serving is about twice that of Slim Up. But since it has a high protein content and tastes good... that's why it's in 3rd place.
4. Knorr Protein-Rich Potage Stick

This is a fairly thin protein soup. The protein content is 8g, which is low, but if you add two sticks, it becomes 16g, and it still ranks 2nd in terms of cost-performance, so I recommend this for those who like thin soups. Being portable is also a plus.
The taste is almost the same as Knorr's potage. It's average. There are no particular ingredients, so it might feel lacking on its own. The disappointing point is the carbohydrate content.
While Slim Up has 27g of protein and 14g of carbohydrates, Knorr has 8g of protein and 13g of carbohydrates, so adding two sticks results in 26g of carbohydrates. The carbohydrate content is about double, so those on a diet should be careful.
5. OrgaLife Complete Meal Fill one Soy White Broth Soup
This is a rare glass noodle soup, but the key is that it contains 18.9g of soy protein, and it's a complete meal with no additives that contains various nutrients, and it's surprisingly delicious for a natural soup. It feels like a rich soy milk soup!
Protein soups are overwhelmingly corn or potage-based, so this is recommended for those who like Japanese-style flavors. However, since it's just glass noodles, it has 37.63g of carbohydrates and 330kcal, so it's best to think of it as a meal replacement. It definitely fills you up, though.
Extra Edition
Knorr's Superior Alternative: Protein & GABA Soup Onion Potage Flavor

Honestly, this is the tastiest among potato-based potages. The onion flavor is different (lol). However, with 11g of protein and an average price, it's hard to beat Slim Up or Knorr. But, the taste is outstandingly good.
Bad cost-performance but I love the taste...: Kanzen Meshi / ZENBU MEAL

I really love the taste of Nissin Foods' Kanzen Meshi Tomato Cream Potage, but the cost-performance... The protein content is 8.2g, almost the same as Knorr, but it costs twice as much. However, as the name "Complete Meal" suggests, the key is that it contains 33 types of nutrients, so it seems better than drinking regular tomato soup.
On the other hand, my top recommendation, ZENBU MEAL, has a lower protein content of 6.1g, but it's soy protein, low in carbohydrates, rich in dietary fiber, and satisfying, so I recommend it to those who want to get a good balance of nutrients without focusing solely on protein. Regardless of the protein aspect, I subscribe to this as a rice substitute.
Actually the best cost-performance, but the taste...: JITAN-PAKU

Actually, among the many protein soups, this one has the best cost-performance, the protein content is not bad at 13g, it's additive-free, contains 5000g of collagen, and is super low-carb, making it perfect for dieting! It has all the elements to be #1, but above all, the taste just wasn't for me.... The flavor lineup of spicy miso, samgyetang, and yuzu pepper was nice, though. Why...?
I wonder if it would taste better if I made it into rice porridge or something.
Needs further verification: DHC Protein Diet Series
It fills you up, and the soup flavor itself isn't bad, but the chewy texture of the soy meat used as a rice substitute was a no-go for me.
On the other hand, their protein pasta has a good reputation, so maybe that one is delicious. It seems worth verifying.
I will update this as needed
There are still many soups I'm curious about, but I have to finish the ones I currently have at home, so that's it for now!
I'll list the soups I'm interested in.
Also, if you have any recommendations, please let me know! See you later.
