Why is the 'terrible twos' so exhausting? | To moms who feel like 'Why is it only my child...'
The 'terrible twos' are,
exhausting because both the child and the mom
suddenly have their switches flipped without knowing
why they are being so difficult.💦
Even though they were in a good mood and acting normal just a moment ago,
they suddenly start crying loudly,
and regardless of whether you are outdoors,
they throw a tantrum on the ground,
making you wonder,
'Wait, why now?'
leaving you bewildered,
feeling anxious about the eyes of those around you,
and feeling like you are being blamed
when they say 'no' to everything...

When that happens,
even if you know it's meaningless,
you just can't help but
compare them to other children,
and feel like my child is clearly more difficult.💦
Is the way I'm interacting with them bad...
Feeling that way,
you end up feeling down.

Even though you really want to be kind,
you don't have the emotional capacity,
so you try to control them,
or end up speaking too harshly in the heat of the moment,
I can't believe I'm getting so worked up
over such a small child...😭
and then you blame yourself and have a self-reflection session alone.
'I have to do this right'
'I have to be a better mom'
The more you think that,
the more you spin your wheels and get exhausted.

In fact, even in my sessions,
I get so many consultations from moms
who are struggling with the 'terrible twos'.
But this isn't
a problem with your personality,
or because your parenting method is wrong,
it might just be that
'your premise is slightly off.'
People say the 'terrible twos' are
'something everyone goes through,'but
actually,
The way they say 'No!' and the reasons behind it
are completely different for every child.
Understanding the differences in the 'terrible twos' through Four Pillars of Destiny
For example, when looking through the lens of Four Pillars of Destiny,
even in 2 or 3-year-olds,
differences in temperament are already appearing,
▶ A child who strongly resists when their own pace is disrupted
▶ A child who cannot move unless they are convinced
▶ A child who is easily sensitive to the atmosphere around them
and so on; depending on their individual type,
the 'reason' for their defiance is different.
Even if they are at an age where they cannot speak well yet,
their own way of feeling and habits of reactionare
already appearing just as their birth chart indicates.
Therefore, even in situations where adults
want to say, 'Hurry up!'
➡ A child who values their pace feels stressed
➡ A child who wants to be convinced wants to rebel even more
Their feelings vary, and
their subsequent reactions will also differ.

In other words,
even if you think you are using the 'correct way to interact,'
it might be 'off the mark' for that child.
Without knowing that,
the more you try hard, thinking,'I have to do this better💦'
the more
・You end up trying to force them to listen
・You get frustrated when things don't go as planned
・You try to suppress your emotions and end up exploding
you might fall into a
painful loop,
or the gap between you and your child might grow larger.

The 'real reason' why the terrible twos are so exhausting
That is because,
you are trying hard while being out of sync.
It is not the child's fault,
of course,
and it is not the mom's fault either;
it is just that
the points of alignment (the premises) are different.
As I mentioned in this article, just understanding the
causecan make your worries feel much lighter.
If you are currently struggling with parenting during the 'terrible twos'
and
feeling like, 'Why is everything going so wrong?'
that might be because
it is time to review your fundamental 'premises'rather than just the 'methods.'

In this course,I help you verbalize that
misalignmentby looking at the parent-child destiny charts.Just realizing, 'Oh, so that's why this happens! 💡' can make you feel so much more at ease.
