Time, Senses, and Consciousness
How time flies; half of this year has already passed.
So, I opened this note thinking I would write an article about things I want to be conscious of in the second half of the year.
But my hands stopped midway.
I hesitated.
My work involves fortune-telling and spiritual psychological counseling.
At this time of year, when the world enters the second half,
my industry is flooded with information about "the flow of luck to come" and
"lucky actions for the second half of the year."
So, I thought I had to put out something similar myself.
However, the more I faced this note, the more my colder self whispered to me.
"This kind of information is all over the internet. Honestly, wouldn't it be boring if I wrote about it now?"
Besides, even if you nod and agree with those kinds of articles at the time, you've usually forgotten them completely three days later.
Since even I, the one writing them, am like that, I'm sure everyone else is the same.
If that's the case, instead of the usual "word-based goals,"
I decided to write down what I want to quietly keep in my heart for this second half of the year.
That is,
to value my own "senses" more
is what I mean.
Lately, I've been thinking about this deeply.
Aren't we too bound by "time"?
Of course, time is important for living in society, and following rules is necessary.
However, before we know it, the standard for our actions has become the "hands of the clock" rather than our own inner voices.
A clear example is eating.
Instead of "eating because I'm hungry,"
we "eat because it's 12 o'clock."
Instead of "sleeping because I'm sleepy,"
we think, "I have to sleep because it's already 1 a.m."
We force our bodies and minds to fit into schedules conceived by our heads.
In the first place, the concept of "time"
does not exist in the universe.
Time is something like a rule created by humans for the sake of daily life.
Before even talking about luck or manifestation, this way of living causes the precious feeling of being alive to be gradually replaced by a sense of obligation.
Because it is exhausting to try to control everything in your head, thinking, 'I have to do this, I have to be conscious of that.'
For this second half of the year, I decided I want to polish my wild sensors—
in other words, my five senses and my intuition.
At least on my days off,
I will stop looking at the clock for a little while and try turning my consciousness inward.
'Oh, I am truly hungry right now.'
'Oh, my body is really craving sleep right now.'
'Right now, in this very moment, I feel incredibly happy.'
I will simply, carefully, and tenderly scoop up
those pure, personal sensations.
We are the lovable kind of people who will forget our standard resolutions anyway,
so it is fine if we leave our written goals somewhere and forget them.
Instead, I will loosen the constraints in my head
and try surrendering my mind and body to 'comfort' and 'excitement'.
If our hearts are filled with the energy of gentle sensations, we should naturally be carried to the places we want to go at the best possible time, without being rushed by the clock.
In the second half of the year, I think I will try to be more lighthearted and make friends with my own senses.
Lastly...
This is a message I received from the universe
many times during my daily meditation.
