Beyond the 'Like', there is a voice. A story about the light called 'Kochi-Kome'
“I feel like even when I post an article on note, it doesn't reach anyone.”
To you, who have ever felt that way.
This is a story about a warm initiative I encountered.
Ichijohan no Shosai-san leaves comments on my articles time and time again.
They aren't just simple 'Likes'; they are words that convey, 'I really read this.'
I still remember how happy that made me.
There is a small experiment that Shosai-san started.
It's called 'Kochi-Kome'—an activity to gently light a lamp of comments on note.
“Comments are small lights.”
Just as those words say, a single comment can suddenly change the atmosphere of note.
I have had the experience of that happening many times.
When you keep writing on note, you sometimes feel it.
“Is this reaching anyone?”
“Likes” appear. There are views, too.
But there is no voice. Only the feeling of people passing by remains.
At times like that, just having one comment added,
that silence turns into a warm presence.
Shosai-san is someone who lights that 'first lamp'.
And now, they have launched 'Kochi-Kome' as a place to spread that light.
Visiting someone who has posted on note,
and quietly saying, 'I read it.'
I have been saved by that attitude many times, and I have been warmly watched over by it.
That 'Kochi-Kome' is now open for a three-day trial period.
This initiative, which began quietly, might just light a lamp on your note, too.
“It reached someone.”
“Someone read it.”
Just a single word can change the landscape of an article.
I felt that for myself.
Please, take a look at Shosai-san's note.
You will surely encounter a warm presence.

Postscript: I wrote about how the 'light' became bigger than I expected and it's a bit overwhelming.
