▶ Thoughts put into this book
I always want to be 'someone,' yet I am completely ordinary.
Even after working desperately hard to get into the cosmetics company I admired, that didn't change.
Selling glamour, living a life that isn't glamorous. The worries I carry are all things that could be categorized as 'relatable.'
A working life different from my ideals, a sudden transfer to a regional office, the loneliness of living alone for the first time, and an appearance I can never feel confident about. These are all things that have probably been asked 50,000 times on Yahoo! Chiebukuro.
Even so, there are mornings when I just can't get out of bed and nights when my stomach tightens with pain, to the point where it can't be dismissed by saying 'everyone has problems.' And then I think: if that's the case, then 'everyone' must be suffering in the same way. That is exactly why I collected the days when I was able to breathe a little easier.
Just like dissolving a spoonful of sugar into bitter coffee. I hope I can make someone else's difficult reality just a little easier to swallow.

I asked the illustrator Hiyoko-san to do the cover art.
It's a single illustration that connects to the spine, and it's so cute!!
The depiction of a room that feels like a real living space, with soft and warm light.
She finished it with an illustration that makes your heart flutter just by having it in your room.
Please try to find the motifs of the essays scattered throughout!
The cover has a slightly rough texture, and the endpapers are made of thin yellow tracing paper.
I was particular about making it something that makes you feel calm and warm just by holding it.
