How to use Nano Banana 2 with Google Flow [Generate 4 images at once | No ♦︎ mark]
Hello, this is Makari.
Nano Banana 2 was released the other day.
I've been trying it out and using it right away.
In this post, I've summarized how to use Nano Banana 2 with Google Flow
for free, along with actual generation examples.
My honest impression is that,
if you use Gemini and Google Flow well together,
the free plan should be enough from now on.
In this article, I will introduce the operation steps as well as
what kind of images you can create✨
What is Google Flow?
Google Flow is an AI video generation platform that can generate and edit high-quality videos from text and images.
Although it is known as a video tool,
it actually supports image generation as well.
You can even use Nano Banana 2 and Nano Banana Pro on the free plan.
⭕️ Great points
・More generation credits on the free plan than via Gemini
・Can generate 2-4 images at once with a single prompt
・No "♦︎" watermark in the bottom right
・Can choose output size from "1K/2K"
🔺 Disappointing points
・Aspect ratios are limited to "16:9" and "9:16"
・You need to specify "Japanese" for images with text
I recommend using it in combination with Gemini💡
Steps to generate Nano Banana 2 images in Flow
Log in with your Google account
1.FlowAccess.
2. Click "Create with Flow" in the center.

3. Log in with your Google account.

4. Select "Launch FLOW".

Generating images
1. Click "+ New Project".

2. Click "🍌Nano Banana 2" at the bottom right of the chat box.

3. Confirm that it is set to "Image" and configure the items.

The three items you can set are as follows:
・Aspect ratio (16:9 / 9:16)
・Number of outputs (1 to 4 images)
・Model
(Nano Banana 2/Nano Banana Pro/magen 4)
4. If you want to use an image,
drag and drop the image into the chat box.

5. All that's left is to enter your prompt (instructions) in the chat box and press the send button "→".

It's great that you can generate 4 images at once!

6. To download,

“Download” →
“Select 1K or 2K”

That's all there is to the basic usage.
It's very simple, isn't it?✨
What is the difference from using it via Gemini?
Is there any difference from the Nano Banana 2 generated via Gemini?

Infographic
First, I tried creating an infographic (illustrated image).
🔸Pattern ①
▼Prompt
Create an infographic about the amazing features of Nano Banana 2
↓
It was output in English. It seems that
Flow requires an instruction for "Japanese".

The information here is incorrect.
Some of them are explanations about bananas... (lol)

▼Nano Banana Pro (via Flow), when I tried generating it

Although the design was clean, the information is incorrect.

🔸Pattern ②
When I tried making an infographic about "NISA savings" in a sticky note style, it was a success.

Depending on the content,
could it make mistakes?
The finish of Nano Banana Pro is easier to see.

Eyecatch
Next, I tried making an eyecatch.
🔸Pattern ①
▼Prompt
Nano Banana 2 is amazing!
I compared it with Nano Banana Pro
Please generate a Japanese eyecatch that fits this title.
↓
The flickering effect is quite intense.
It also feels like there is too much text.

▼Nano Banana Pro (via Flow)

Although the design of Nano Banana Pro is cleaner, the final result is somewhat subtle.

🔸Pattern ②
Since a simple prompt just doesn't result in a satisfactory finish,
▼If you arrange this prompt a little

It is quite practical.

When creating eye-catching images, you need to refine the prompt indeed.

4-panel manga

▼Prompt
Using rabbit and penguin characters, please create a 4-panel manga in Japanese depicting a heartwarming daily life

Very natural Japanese, and a cute finish.

It seems to be quite good at 4-panel manga.

This is also perfect!
The design is well-organized, and it looks like it can be used as is.

Coloring pages
▼ If you create a coloring page using this prompt...
↓
Since the aspect ratio is fixed,
it can be a bit difficult to use for some purposes.

It's perfect for children's coloring pages!

Both have the same finish as going through Gemini!

LINE stickers

Please create a sheet image featuring 12 types of LINE stickers.
Images that convey emotions like joy, anger, sorrow, and pleasure, and are easy to use in chat.
Include Japanese dialogue.

The style of the stickers should be comical.
Ensure sufficient spacing between each image.
Ensure a 3% margin around the edges of the image.
Background is white. Square. Create the image.

Summary
After trying Nano Banana 2 in Google Flow, I felt it was very practical, as:
✅ It's quite usable even on the free plan
✅ Generating 4 images at once is convenient
✅ The illustrations have almost the same finish as Gemini
!
However, it seems to struggle with diagrams and eye-catching images, so:
・Specify "Japanese" if you want to include text
・Craft your prompts carefully
These two points are very important.
For eye-catching or diagram images,
it seems better to use Nano Banana Pro.
If you use Gemini and Flow effectively,
the free plan might be enough from now on!?
That is my honest impression.
It really is amazing, isn't it?
