From Creation to Submission of LINE Stickers in 10 Minutes! I Built an Image Splitting and Transparency Tool with Claude Code

The process of splitting and making images transparent is honestly a pain...😑
So, I used
Claude Code to automate everything from cropping the sheet image to making them transparent all at once💡
From generating the sticker images to registering them for LINE stickers,
the actual time taken was about 10 minutes.

How to make LINE stickers
I will now introduce the steps I took to create these LINE stickers.
Creating the assets
First, I created a sheet image of the LINE stickers.
I used Gemini (Nano Banana 2) for this.

Sticker style.
Stickers that convey emotions like joy, anger, sorrow, and pleasure.
A loose, cute, and comforting atmosphere.
Cropping and making LINE stickers transparent
I asked Claude Code to handle the tedious task of "cropping images and making backgrounds transparent" that would be a hassle to do one by one.
Place the generated LINE sticker images into a folder and enter the prompt.

Please crop them into individual stickers and make the backgrounds transparent.

It checked various things for me...
↓
Finished in the blink of an eye.
↓
Looking inside the folder...
It even created the main and tab images for me!
They are perfectly formatted as sticker assets!
The assets look great too😊
What was all that struggle for until now...
This is too amazing...
I decided to turn it into a tool while I was at it.
So that my daughter could use it on her computer too,
I thought it would be great if I could publish this functionality as a web tool,
so I asked Claude Code if it could be turned into a tool.

・Split images into LINE sticker sizes and make backgrounds transparent.
・Splitting should be 3x3, 4x4, etc. (allow inputting numbers to specify).
・The crop lines during splitting should be draggable with a mouse to move freely.
・Images with transparent backgrounds should be zoomable for verification.
・Allow individual downloads and bulk ZIP downloads.

I struggled a bit to get the background transparency just right💦
After a lot of trial and error,
here is the completed tool
Upload an image,
set the split positions,
and click "Execute Split & Transparency."

The cropping and background transparency are done in an instant!
Just click "Download All as ZIP."
It's so convenient that they are saved as individual images✨
As for the background transparency, it's not perfect for every image💦
Still, it's amazing that we live in an era where anyone can build tools...
After building the tool,
I had fun testing it out with various characters.

Registering with the LINE Sticker Maker
Once your assets are ready, let's start registering your stickers!
*Account registration is required
(If you have a LINE account, you can register with just your email address and name)
Open the smartphone app LINESticker Maker and tap "Stickers"
Select a photo using "Select Photo" and tap "Skip"
Adjust the image size and position, then tap "Next"
Check the final preview and tap "Save"
Register 8 or more stickers in the same way using the "+" button
*The number of stickers you can register must be 8, 16, 24, 32, or 40.
All that's left is to enter the sales information and tap "Next".
*If it's for personal use,
"Free Download/No Revenue Share" is fine
Check the preview screen and tap "Next"
Check the required items and tap "
Request"
Finally, tap Request and you're done.
Once you've built the tool,
the production time up to this point is just 10 minutes!
It's a convenient era, isn't it?

A bit of the green background remained, but since it's for kids to use, I decided it was fine.
My daughter is looking forward to using them, saying, "I wonder when they'll pass the review? 😃"
