I'm a middle-aged man who doesn't exercise, but I lost weight by being a little careful about my diet
A few years ago, I had a roll of fat around my waist like a life preserver.
Even though at a glance, I didn't look that fat.
The day my wife and daughter kept nagging me about my protruding belly, I muttered to myself in my heart, 'Alright, I get it,' and 'I'll show you what I can do,' without saying it out loud.
As a result of being a little careful about my diet and sticking with it, my stomach became flat, the life-preserver fat disappeared, and I lost about 6kg.
There are various other small details, but I will share three rough points, so please try using them as a reference.
Eat only when you are hungry
I was very conscious of this.
It's obvious, but I wasn't doing this obvious thing.
Because I woke up in the morning or because it was lunchtime, I would sometimes eat just because, even though I wasn't really hungry, but I stopped doing that entirely.I stopped doing that entirely.
It was highly effective to wait for the signal that my stomach was truly hungry—the sound of my stomach growling—before eating.
Don't overeat
Even if I confirmed the signal that I was hungry, it would be ruined if I overate, so I set some guidelines.
I made sure to put on the brakes before saying things like, 'Ooh, I'm stuffed,' or 'I'm full.'
Conversely,
'I'm still a bit hungry,'
this feeling was the best. At first, it's tough to stop eating while still feeling 'a bit hungry.' Quite a bit, haha. But it's okay, you'll get used to it.
Don't eat out
Home-cooked meals are the best.
Family restaurants, fast food.
There are many others, but I made an effort to be conscious of not eating them.
Although it's not eating out, I made a conscious effort not to eat convenience store bento boxes or cup ramen.
Conclusion
These may be simple things that seem easy to do but are actually hard to maintain, but I believe you can expect results.
However, everyone is different, so I cannot guarantee the extent of the results.
I believe the three points I raised are quite effective based on my own experience, so I think you might see results even if you just try them one by one to the extent that you can.
That is all.
