The setting this time is the Red Market (Mercari) Arena.

[Part 2] An adventurer's pride held firm!
The "true reward" beyond defeat!!

Brand new and unused was the label on the equipment listed in the
Red Market (Mercari) Arena.

When a potential buyer requested that I
open the unopened bag
to take additional photos,


Merchant AliEx (AliExpress) realized that the item he had been saddled with was

damaged.

Thump, thump, thump.


Adventurer Trippi's heart beats like a tolling bell.

Right in front of him is the desperately wanted
10,000 gold. The


whispers of the pair shake adventurer Trippi's heart like a sweet poison.

But—at that moment!!


The
blood of a professional banker coursing through Trippi's veins boiled like hellfire!!

"…Don't mess with me!!"



Trippi cut through the air heavy with sweet temptation with a




single shout
.

"I am not one to run away from [Compliance/Duty to Explain] to a customer...

I will absolutely never become a third-rate merchant like that!"

No matter how small the scratch,a scratch is a scratch.

Accepting money while hiding the truth is
abetrayalof the person paying you.

It's the same as selling your own soul!!!

A serious showdown!!

“Laugh if you want to call me clumsy! This is my way of doing things!!!”

Trippy made up his mind and
dared to take a close-up photo of that “scratch”.

Then,without deceiving anyone,
he carefully wrote all the factson the message board (comment section)
and sent it off to the potential buyer. 🕊️


More than the 10,000 gold right in front of him,
it was the moment he“Merchant's Pride”was
upheld head-on.moment.

“Building trust is not something that happens overnight.

But you know,

when I was in the Banking Guild,I...

I know all too well that losing trust happens in an instant...

I don't want to become a
dirtyadventurer who earns money by telling lies.

I want the gold, but
I haven't fallen that low...!”

Partner(mate) “Geez, you're too serious~”

Ugh...

Trippy the adventurer gritted his teeth.

Defeat, and tears at the thread tavern

……The result was cruel.

The reply from the potential buyer who learned the truth never came, and
the time limit arrived just like that.

In the end, that piece of equipment never sold.


“……Haha. I guess it was a no-go after all.”

Adventurer Trippy
collapsed onto the counter of the battlefield of words, the 'Threads Tavern'.

“When I told the truth, the customer ran away.”

“I’m truly clumsy, a
total idiot at business…….”

Trippy confessed the whole sequence of events with self-mockery.

However, the atmosphere in the tavern was completely different from what I had expected.

“You idiot. You’re being incredibly cool, you know that?”

“You chose honesty over quick cash, didn’t you?
You’re the model of a seller.”


“……Eh?”

When I looked up, there were the warm smiles of my
companions (followers) gathered in the Threads tavern.

No one laughed at Trippy.

Comments of comfort and praise poured in one after another.


“You guys……!!”
――Sniff!!


Large tears welled up in Trippy’s eyes.


It’s true, I didn’t earn any gold.

I lost the battle.



But, rather than lying and
getting 10,000 gold back then,


I gained something far more precious and warm:

‘trust from my companions’ and ‘pride in my own decision’.
“……Thank you. I wasn’t wrong, was I?”



Adventurer Trippy wiped away the tears and



gently tucked the damaged equipment
back into his backpack.

“I’ll withdraw the listing for now.

……But, I won’t give up!! I’ll take a little time, and
I’ll definitely try again in the best way possible!!”


True strength isn’t about defeating enemies.

It’s about overcoming your own weaknesses and temptations.



With a backpack that felt a little heavier, and
a capacity as an adventurer that had grown even more.

The endless Grand Line known as a side hustle.


Trippy’s adventure is far from over.
Struggling, getting lost, but still moving forward.

📜 [The Book of Lessons from This Adventure] Tactics in the Red Market (Mercari) Arena

Here are the lessons we should learn from Trippy’s back after finishing the fierce battle!

Lesson 1: 'Likes' are an illusion! What you need to move are emotions!
If it doesn't sell even with many 'likes', it's proof that users have no [reason to buy now]. By 'setting a deadline (time limit)', encourage action from those who truly want it!

Lesson 2: Use the psychology of the 'Pine-Bamboo-Plum' (Anchoring)!
When people have three price ranges, they tend to unconsciously choose the middle (Bamboo). Determine where your product's pricing stands in the market.

Lesson 3: Honesty is the strongest weapon (brand)!
If you hide scratches or disadvantages for the sake of short-term profit, it will inevitably lead to fatal complaints or credit issues (like account suspension) someday. An attitude of honest disclosure is what ultimately creates long-term trust that makes people think, 'I want to buy from this person!' Take pride in that!
