Ultimate Snack Recipes Part 0.0: Chopsticks - Things We Take for Granted
As a prerequisite to introducing my ultimate snack recipes, I would like to introduce my tools.
This is a story about how a little ingenuity with chopsticks can reveal a different perspective.
(I think this will also be helpful for those trying to diet or those trying to reduce their salt intake.)
Since this is a prerequisite, it is Part 0, but I already used Part 0 for the section on managing beer, which is essential for enjoying snacks.
If you'd like, please enjoy that as well.
So, being a physicist, I decided to distinguish them using significant figures.
By the way,
0: -0.5 or more, less than +0.5
0.0: -0.05 or more, less than +0.05
0.00: -0.005 or more, less than +0.005
They have different meanings like this.
There are many kinds of chopsticks, but the key points are the grip at the tip and the thinness. Please take a look at the photo below. The top one is a commercially available disposable chopstick. Even this belongs to the thin category. I make this thinner with a kitchen knife. It's like sharpening a pencil with a knife. It's a matter of preference, but I thin it down to the size shown at the bottom of the photo.

Bottom: State with the tip thinned using a kitchen knife
By doing this, it becomes easy to pick up and eat natto beans one by one.

Perfect for picking up a single natto bean.
By the way, these bamboo chopsticks are made in China.
I found them at Seria and bought them for 110 yen.

Since they are reasonably priced, I don't worry too much if I fail during processing or if they deteriorate.

I have prepared a photo from an angle above so that the atmosphere is easier to understand.

I also pick up diced silken tofu one by one.
This allows me to keep them in contact with my taste bud sensors for as long as possible to savor them.
Using these bamboo chopsticks makes it easier to pick up the following snacks:
Natto
Bamboo shoots
Mozuku seaweed
Silken tofu
Using these bamboo chopsticks allows you to naturally perform the act of savoring your food with care.
A new culinary landscape unfolds there.
Side note
The simple effort of thinning the tips of bamboo chopsticks creates a dramatic change.
Since it's not animal feed, you'll truly realize how little is actually enough to enjoy a meal.
Extra side note
It can curb overeating. Try eating a pack of natto one bean at a time with these chopsticks.
Even more extra side note
It might sound cliché, but it's also effective for dieting.
One more thing. It's also effective for preventing senility...
You're so annoying, stop using those chopsticks and just get a little senile already! 💢
But... (╯︵╰,)
(Lol)
