[For First-Time Visitors] 61-year-old Mayu | Dementia Care and Life in Kyoto
Nice to meet you.
I am "61-year-old Mayu."
61 years old.
After a roundabout life with 10 job changes, I moved to Kyoto.
Currently, while living with and caring for my mother-in-law who has dementia,
I write about my daily life in my 60s and events with my family.
About Me
Before I knew it, I had changed jobs 10 times.
There were many things that didn't go as planned.
I had many such experiences.
Guided by fate, I came to Kyoto,
and now I am living a life of caregiving for my mother-in-law with dementia.
Caregiving is tough.
But every day is not just painful.
Events that make me laugh unexpectedly,
moments that tug at my heart,
conflicts that arise precisely because we are family,
and small joys.
I write about those days just as they are.
What I write about in this note
🌸 Days of dementia care
🌸 Things I realized after turning 60
🌸 Events with my family
🌸 Heartwarming stories with my grandchildren
🌸 Life in Kyoto
🌸 Life experience from 10 job changes
For those reading for the first time
I recommend this article first.
The reason I share my story
What I think now that I am 61 is that
life often does not go the way you want it to.
That is what I think.
But even within that, there are things to laugh about and
happiness certainly exists.
For those currently caregiving,
for those who have finished raising children,
for those at a turning point in life,
for those who are feeling a bit tired,
for someone like that,
I would be happy if you could think,
"I understand,"
"I'm not the only one."
Thank you for reading until the end.
😊
It would encourage me if you felt free to follow or comment.
I look forward to your continued support.🍀
