The Words You Use on a Bad Day Can Change the Future
It is surprisingly little known, but
the "things we end up saying" to our children
are lowering their motivation.
"Why can't you do it?"
"That's not allowed!"...
Are you repeating such "criticism"
and ending up feeling self-loathing?
Actually, I was also
cornering my child with my words almost every day.
But one "realization"
completely changed our parent-child relationship.
There is no right answer to parenting, but
there are definite tips for "how to choose your words."
You don't need to be a perfect mom.
What is important is
to realize, "What did I really want to convey?"
This time,
I will introduce how to rethink your words to let go of criticism
and soften your relationship with your child. These are all things you can start today,
so please try incorporating them.
To the me who can't stop saying "That's not allowed!"
"What are you doing!"
"Why are you always like that?"
"That's not allowed!"
Before I knew it, today again,
I sighed at myself for only criticizing my child...
"I don't really want to get angry..."
"I want to be a mother who can watch over them gently..."
Even if I think that,
my emotions come out first in my busy daily life.
Have you ever had that experience?
I myself was like that once.
"If things go on like this, it won't be good for this child."
Because of that thought,
I would sometimes corner them with harsh words.
But one day I realized.
The slightly scary but important truth that "a parent's casual remark can influence a child's future."
The "influence" of criticism is greater than you imagine
For example,
"You really are no good."
"How many times do I have to tell you?"
If you were showered with such words every day,
how do you think a child would feel?
"I am a bad child."
"They think I can't do it anyway."
By doing that,
they end up lowering their own value. This is not a temporary slump,
but becomes the basis for the "self-image"
that is imprinted on the "subconscious"deep in their heart.
▪️What is the subconscious?
Human consciousness consists of the "conscious mind" that appears on the surface, and the "subconscious mind" that lies in the deep parts.
Conscious mind = thoughts and judgments you are aware of (about 5% of the total)
Subconscious mind = unconscious beliefs, emotions, and memories (about 95%)

In other words,
most actions and choices
are controlled by the subconscious. For example,
a child who believes "I am a child who can't do anything"
gives up before even trying,
and links failure to "I knew I couldn't do it."
When that happens,
they become afraid to challenge themselves.
Which equals fewer successful experiences.
The words parents repeat without malice
become the child's "norm,"
and can gradually narrow
the child's future choices.
But if you think about it the other way around,
you could say, "If you change your words, you change the future."
▪️For example, in a situation like this...
When they forgot their homework
× "What are you doing! You forgot it again!?"
○ "What happened? I'm glad you noticed you forgot it. Let's think about it together."
When their help was half-hearted
× "Why don't you finish what you start?"
○ "Thank you for doing that. It would be even more helpful if you could do this much next time."
In this way,
instead of focusing on "what they couldn't do,"
by focusing on "what they could do" and "the child's feelings,"
the child feels safe, thinking, "I'm okay."

It doesn't have to be perfect. Sometimes, just knowing this makes a difference.
As parents, it's easy for our emotions to get stirred up when it comes to our children.
That's why we sometimes get frustrated and end up saying harsh things.
However, what's important is
to pause for a moment and think, "How will these words be received?"
But what matters is
"How will these words be received?"
andtaking a moment to pause.
Just by doing that,
the atmosphere between parent and child will gradually change.
💌 In closing
"Your words shape your child's future."
This is not a threat or pressure.
It just shows how significant a mother's presence is.
And conversely, it means
"you can protect their future with the power of your words."
From today on, you don't have to be perfect.
But please try to notice one "true feeling you want to convey."
"Actually, I believe in you."
If this feeling is conveyed, your child will definitely change.
Let's turn the power of words into support for the future.
