May Languages Studio | Three Principles
What is "May Languages Studio?"
May Languages Studio is a small personal project that observes the world through language. Here, I quietly record and share the cultural nuances and differences in the resonance of words that I discover in daily life and through multilingual learning.
May Languages Studio operates according to the following Three Principles.
Three Principles
1. Listen to the Subtle Tremors of the World.
Listen to the subtle tremors of the world.
Observation begins by listening to thoughts before they become words, to gazes, and to the fluctuations within quiet pauses.
2. See the Hidden Structures behind Words.
Look at the structures behind words.
Behind differences in expression lie the ways in which the people who speak those languages view the world.
Even for the same "thank you" or "I'm sorry," the way the heart is directed differs slightly depending on the language. Noticing those differences is the first step toward understanding.
3. Connect Distant Worlds through Curiosity.
Connect distant worlds with curiosity.
Do not fear differences; approach them. Learning an unknown language or peeking into another culture is a "bridge" to gently connect yourself with the world.
I hope this place becomes a "starting point for observation" for all of you who read it.
